United in this game remind me of the 2nd half of England Vs Germany in South Africa 2010. Kamikaze madness. No need for it.

    Werner lol

Talk about a player who's never confident when through on goal.

This year celtic will overtake Rangers in total trophies won which would otherwise be totally unremarkable except a few years back, Sevco, in their gnawing insecurity, emblazened 'most successful club in the world' all over their asbestos ridden stadium , training ground, club shop, 10000 tshirts, scarfs etc. It became their defacto branding/tagline. So its gonna happen: some solemn, solemn monday morning in May some guy is gonna have to get the step ladder out the oak paneled ibrox utility room & begin pulling down 107 'most successful club in the world' signs down. Hilariously bleak

It's a curious human trait isn't it. In moments of crisis reach for and rely upon branding and slogans. sloganeering, mottos....sad.

For sure. But Ange will be delighted with the win. Imagine they had dropped points after all the pressure they had put on United. Furious Ange is a scary sight.

He's had little reason to be angry, it's just his own attacking mentality invites vulnerability. Still don't think they'll make top 4 this season, myself.

I'm old enough to remember a time when teams would be 2-0 up Vs United and would crumble under the pressure of expectations. They expected to get beaten and manifested that pressure by duly capitulating. That's why the 4-1 and 6-1 victories of Liverpool and City were so shocking. 2 defeats, 20 years into Ferguson's reign. It simply never really happened.

Today? Bum outfits go there expecting to get something.

United have spent huge sums and are still at the Kevin McBride/Danny Williams phase of their existence. Fucking bums getting results.

Spurs are dashing and exciting but they went there today without their best player. Bossed it.

United had a phase around 60-70 minutes today....that same phase 20 years ago would have gotten them a goal. Then Spurs would have forgotten they had an extra man.

Oh and there used to be a time when no referee would have dared send off a United player like that. And the commentators would have spun narratives like Rumpelstiltskin to explain it.

Once you lose that fear-factor you're in trouble. Especially when your aura is what used to get you so many results.

This is the Barbarian phase of the United Empire. No-hoper Cesar's commanding deadbeat legions being beaten up by some rag-tag tribe passing through their territory.

    Long may it continue lol

Ten Hag has to hold his hand up and say sorry. Sorry that he's spent millions and instead of improving things and taking the team forward, he's doing the opposite. He keeps going on about "sticking to the plan". But what exactly is this plan?! He's deluded.

I bought in last summer: i thought they were close enough and with such glaring weaknesses (out from the back, number 9) that Ten Haag would plug those holes in the boat and motor on. Seemed logical. But nope.

Im still really hoping Ange can get things working at spurs but his problem is the competition: a spurs manager could do everything possible right and still finish 5th in this seasons premiership. I wouldnt bet against him picking up a cup tho

Sellik absolutely flying, full of confidence and.....our key defender gets injured. Our chances of a full on hammering just at least doubled.
