Shame he doesn't have the talent. But yeah Timmy did indeed get the "Cool Vince" treatment in there.

I also checked the odds after Punk's thoughts on the matchup. I'm sure Murtazaliev was 10/1 to win by KO.

I'm a dickhead, I was planning to put $50 on Murtazaliev but left it all too late. Those odds were ridiculous.

Brutal beating he took. Several times his legs turned to jelly. He got hurt with the left hook every time and never adjusted.

Tszyu's corner saved him from a BRUTAL ko

Yeah, usually I'm in the ''the referee stopped it too early'' crowd but I was surprised the referee let it go after the final brutal kd and shocked when he didn't jump in after the big right hand once action resumed. Tzsyu could have been seriously hurt as he was totally out of it and Murtzaliev was close to peak power since it was so early in the fight.

Whats really bad for Tszyu is that history always shows us that once a chin is cracked, it never comes back. And given how shitty his defense is, yeah... his boxing future is bleak.

I don't think that's even close to an accurate statement honestly but in this case, I agree that Tim's future looks pretty bleak indeed.

Everyone that gets catch clean with a power shot they don't see can go, no matter how good their chin. Not sure I agree this means Tszyu chin is poor. His defense seems much more of an issue imo

Yeah but ....his chins not going to be any better ,more likely worse,is X point..

......Chuck Lidell is the good example from UFC.

The only guys I can think of whose chins were broken who won titles (a d eventually succumbed to a brutal KO anyways) were Maskaev and Norris

There's tons of other guys too, John Ruiz and Morrison are 2 others off the top of my mind . LL, Byrd and Rahman did too. And that's just looking at hw from when I started following boxing. I don't think it's really a pattern.

I'm not so familiar with Tim, but this is another example of why a fighter should take an easy fight after their first loss. There are many examples throughout history of good/hyped/excellent/great fighters losing their first two fights back-to-back.
