Looks like this matchup is gonna happen after Boots bitched out (sorry Boots, gotta call a spade a spade). Gonna be another sad night for Puerto Rico. Vergil will beat the brakes off that fraud.
They have to cash out on Xander while they still can. Ortiz is gonna beat him up. I’m guessing he’ll stop him early to mid rounds here. And Boots will keep ducking.
Obviously not the pick em fight that Boots-Ortiz would have been, but still, I'll be excited for it. Maybe, just maybe, Zayas is better than we think he is. But on paper, Vergil seems much too strong, powerful, and fast for him. We'll see.
Looks like this one is absolutely going to happen. Many sources reporting all terms have actually been agreed upon. I’m happy this one is happening.
Xander is a good, likeable kid. But it’s not a matter of readiness, imo. I just think Ortiz is too strong and too powerful for him. I’d like Xander to do well and if he won that would be amazing, but I just don’t see it.
I was watching some Zayas fights on YT last night and admit I was being too harsh about his chances. I think he's got a decent shot of outboxing Vergil. I'd rather see Ortiz-Zayas than Ortiz-Fundora, that's for DAMN sure. Fundora is garbage.
Madrimov will be tougher for Ortiz than Zayas. He has an awkward style in there and seems to take a good punch. This is a better fight.
Madrimov is supposed to fight bohachuck on the usyk card. Is that off? If not no way he's ready for ortiz in feb
