Nunn doesnt have the resume of Duran or anything, but it's definitely a strong enough resume that his induction is deserved. He was also good enough at his peak that it just feels right he got in.

 

Nunn-Tate is honestly one of the best master classes in boxing history. Easily one of the best title winning performances. There's a lot of guys in the Hall who have no memorable performances. Nunn actually has two, because Kalambay was one of the best KOs in history.

 

Always like Nunn’s showing against Roldán where he chooses to engage more on the inside against a guy that usually thrives on that. Nunn pretty much dominated him and stopped him. A side of Nunn that shows that he wasn’t just a fancy boxer but could also be a mean infighter when he chooses to be.

 

He also outfought Liles. That was a grueling fight as far as southpaw vs. southpaw goes.

I haven't watched Nunn-Liles in about 20 years, but I remember thinking that Nunn won hands down. I've never heard anyone who thought that Liles deserved that fight.
