    Arteta lol

Edit:- I saw Arsenal Vs Ipswich. They looked toothless sans Saka. But then they went to Brentford- never easy- fell behind and still won.

Plus they were legit robbed yesterday.

    So it's hard to say.

It seems to happen quite a bit.

At Goodison the cameras face the side where the managers and players are which is rare. And the mics often pick up the fans from the Upper Bulllens stand.

I remember hearing an Everton fan calling an Arsenal player a "French fuck" when I first started following them.

You can get banned for that now. It's fucking crazy. It's not the Latin Mass. People are not sat there studying their rosary. It's a physical partisan contest. Bring the vulgarity.

The boxing is worst. Guys killing each other. Cornerman:- "keep your fucking hands up". Commentators:- "oh sorry for the bad language"

I saw at the LFC-Chelsea match earlier this season, they banned two LFC supporters for homophobic slurs toward the Chelsea section. And banned one Chelsea supporter for yelling about Hillsboro. All got a three year ban plus a fine.

Nice seeing three proper old school clubs at the top of the league. Like looking back at a table from the late 70's/early 80's.

It just needs Everton to be up there. Albeit that feels about as likely as seeing Wimbledon in the top 6

That was one of the best NUFC performances I've ever seen. Disciplined, clinical, determined...a masterful away cup performance. Now to finish these bastards off at SJP, and howay the Cockney Wankers tomorrow (no offence Irish).

Careful what you wish for, but I take it as a compliment you want no part of Liverpool in the final. It's a great compliment. And....Liverpool's 3-3 draw at St James is now looking better and better with time due regard to NUFC form and confidence.

We simply don't match up well to LFC. Even at home, where I fancy us to beat anyone, we seem unable to get over the line against your lot. We'd start a final (if we get there) a 3-1 shot against Liverpool. We'd start as betting favourites to beat Spurs.

Martin Keown pondered out loud last night that the homevdefeat by Newcastle might undermine Arsenal's season. I hope so but that works both ways Viz the game Vs Spurs tonight.

What surprised me is how suprised the so-called 'experts' have been that NUFC win last night. In our previous three matches we'd beaten Villa, Man U and Spurs. We were arguably unlucky not to beat Liverpool a few weeks back, too. We're obviously in good form and have looked a very decent side of late again.

Arsenal have looked powderpuff up top and yet it seems to have been presumed that they would just roll us over. I would have taken a draw, happily, pre-KO but we were never going to just get bowled over. This isn't Fat Mike NUFC. We are usually very competitive against anyone.

Some of it is bias but Arsenal are 2nd/3rd and we're 2nd last Season, by a long chalk too ... It doesn't explain everything but it explains a lot. Bookies too would have fancied Arsenal.

Beating Man United doesn't carry the weight it used to anymore.

We were 4-1 to win last night. That's mad. We aren't quite 'there' yet but I wouldn't price us at 4-1 to beat anyone, especially not off the back of a six game winning run where we have clearly been back 'on it'.

This last month has seen us return to our 22/23 selves. We're right back at it.

Big Ange will be raging. VAR was introduced tonight. He said he wasn't happy with that decision. Now it's gone against him as he predicted.

Tottenham get a double dose of shit for their luck. First, their goal is ruled out by previously inapplicable VAR. Secondly, the referee breaks new ground by explaining just precisely why the goal was ruled out.

It's 4-1 to beat the home side who can be good on their night. I'll bet Newcastle win-or-draw was basically evens or slightly better.

In other words, Newcastle were even money to not lose and Arsenal were 4-1 to get beat at home

Look at things that way and it makes a bit more sense.

I wonder where this leaves Liverpool. Lot of big names out there tonight. Not much cohesion. Slot will say he played for a 0-0 and nearly got it. Critics will claim a crisis.

Liverpool turn that round no bother at Anfield. Good result at our end, but not enough.

This nonsense is the closest thing to drama going up here tbh.
