Sellik not a million miles away. Higher xg, goal chopped off, penalty VARed away. Got tactics right, weren't naive. Let down by simple player quality. With Tierney in for Taylor and a match fit Jota in for Idah you're already turning the weakest links into strong links and there'll be more signings in summer. Progress towards being as good as the big Dutch & Portuguese clubs again has been made & we'll be there or abouts next year. So quietly happy with what I saw despite result

Do you guys think this was a pen? I initially thought no coz he got the ball but there's some people insisting that doesn't matter b/c the ball is still there to be won. I don't even know the rule

I doubt he had much cash. He was drunk and had just staggered out of a corner shop. He said he redirected George Galloway but not his politics. I think both he and Galloway are from Dundee.

The Bayern defender gets a touch on the ball just before making contact with the Celtic player. I think it would have been unfortunate to give Celtic a pen, but I wouldn't have been shocked to see it given.

I think it's one of those where the ref better consult ifab rather than the var screen: it's clear what happened but the decision will be down to subclause c of rule 127 or something. I assume they probably got it right just going on the fact no smart arse celtic fan has played lawyer on it on twitter

Yeah, Carter Vickers didn't react quick enough. Bayern likely get a winner in ET anyway, but Shellick did enough to force them to have to do it. Should have scored more than 1 in truth - the misses cost them more imo.

Yeah, I kinda knew it would happen, it just always tends to go that way, but it always stings.

At this level you get punished. It's the one immutable principle of football since day dot. Probably hard to punish a guy too much after running and working so hard for 90+ minutes but that's how it goes.[/QUOTE]

Bit of a cunt, that was. I won't have a go at Vickers he's usually Mr.reliable. This might be loser talk but I'm mostly just happy with our progress - to go into the 92nd minute of the second leg with Bayern with a higher xg over two games is further than i expected us to be this season. I especially liked how we handled not being the team who dominated possession because we've been so awful at fighting off the back foot, historically. But I think we're learning that flexiblilty & credit to rodgers for that. We can get better next season imo.... although we might get a harder draw

MBappe with one of his 3,4 great performances per season. Next one will probably be Vs Liverpool .
