Yeah, this shit looks fake as hell imo. If he really received this basket, I definitely could understand why he got mad, but considering Berinchyk denied it was from him, he should just let it slide.

 

Thinking about it, it's highly doubtful that an Ukrainian who doesn't even speak English, and only fought in the US once, would know the racial stereotype associated with watermelons... Most probably fake. In fact, it reflects very poorly of Davis that he's so eager to throw a fellow fighter under the bus to generate drama.

 

Supposedly Davis apologized to Berenchyk as they are now hinting the sender was Teofimo . Definitely the right move to make by Davis. However, I'm still 50/50 on whether this was set-up or if it's legit. In all cases, it make the sport look more and more like the WWE. Not too surprising that a showman like Paul is now (arguably) boxing's biggest draw

Regarding the fight, just caught Berenchyk winning effort against Navarette and I wasn't impressed at all. It looked like 2 drunk guys flailing at each other's. If Davis is anything close to what he's hyped to be, he wins easily.
