It absolutely had potential. That potential was ultimately not realised. I suspect this was known in advance by certain parties, to an extent at least.

Regarding the question that was popped in the other thread about how one feels about Saudi control, it has to be said that it's a lot more style than substance right now.

Yeah, this showcased 4 of the best fighters in the division yet both bouts were pathetic. More like tough man contests than elite boxing

Quality fight between Bivol and Beterbiev. Non-stop action throughout. Better fight than the first. Bivol deservedly the winner. Beterbiev is relentless and had a good first half, but Bivol weathered the storm, got his second wind and showcased his combination, countering and ring IQ skills. Lovely stuff.

I only just watched it there. I've nothing to add to what's already been said really. Judges got it just about right (again). Better fight than the first. Both those things a result of Bivol letting it hang out a bit more than in the first. Every month that goes by probably inches the balance a bit more in Bivols favour so if there's a rematch I hope its immediate

I hope the up coming generation of ex-soviet state fighters are turning pro earlier so we don't get another batch of potential all time greats winning titles deep into their 30s

I dont think it was better than the first. First one was closer and had more momentum shift imo. Still was a great fight

Arthur should have taken out British citizenship and gone to the ring as "King Arthur of Arthurington" and he'd have carried a decision.

The British commentators seemed to think Bivols from bristol. *beterbiev lands 3 shots on a retreating Dimitry*: 'bivol really is conserving his energy intelligently!'

Agreed. Lot of very good fighters but often times when we start seeing them they are on the wrong side of 30.

Ugh... I suppose you missed out on a good payday... this is pretty much why I stopped betting on boxing, way too much corruption

Rumours circulating that Dubois wasn't sick at all. He's lined up to rematch Usyk.

High risk, little reward? Although I still pick Dubois to win that handily. I highly doubt it ever happens now.

No worries- as mentioned I had a last minute change on Ortiz and (feeling quite strongly on it..) placed enough to double the other losses so actually came out well ahead regardless of getting most picks dead wrong.

Dunno about you but I've close to zero interest in that one. Usyk should fight parker instead
