Just saw this. Very sad news to hear the passing of a HW legend. Boxing will truly miss you Champ.

George truly reinvented himself and achieved a feat that will never be duplicated when he won the title again at 45.

Never knew he was ill. 76 is no age for a man of his size and fitness. Maybe his weight had gotten high again. There's none of them left now bar Chuvalo, I think.

 

RIP. This one hit hard, just like George. Felt like he was gonna live forever.

Yeah I never had him down as a guy in any danger etc....knew he was getting older, sure, but.....

When I read your post I saw "live forever" but in the context of George Foreman I simply read "liver".

 

Chuvalo is still around. Ron Stander too. Which is fucking amazing when you think about it. The two slowest most cut prone guys of them all.
