Just watched the Stanionis vs. Boots Ennis fight, and I gotta say, Boots looked sharp. He was quick, focused, and clearly the more talented fighter in there. That said, I’m not sure how much of that was just him being the better fighter or if Stanionis’ inactivity played a role—he’s only fought once in the past year, while Boots has been more active, getting in a couple of fights. That makes a difference.

Skill-wise, you can see the gap. Boots is just more gifted and continues to improve with every fight. I truly believe he’s a top-tier talent and could be a dominant force at 147 and even 154. Honestly, I think he could run 154 if he moved up.

As for the bigger picture—Canelo and Crawford need each other right now. Why? Because young, hungry guys like Boots Ennis and David Benavidez are coming, and I believe they beat the old guard. I’ve got Boots over Crawford and Benavidez over Canelo. These young lions have too much talent, too much skill, and too much power. If Canelo and Crawford want to stay relevant, they better stick to each other… because these new guys are a real problem.

Didn’t expect Ennis to make it look easy. Great performance against a gutsy Stanionis who was just outgunned.

There’s literally nobody at 147 that can beat Boots. Perhaps Norman Jr can be an interesting fight for him but after that he should consider moving up to 154 where there’s more great fights to be made such as Vergil Ortiz, Murtazaliev, Bohachuk, Fundora.

Boots did his thing. I think he showboats a little too much and it gets tedious but he’s obviously talented. Looks like his days at 147 are numbered, though. Needs to go to 154 and face the better competition.

Humdrum affairs. There is no excitement right now around marquee divisions. 147 to 160. No rivalry.

    I gave you credit, pal

Anyhow, what do we predict is next for ennis ?

Norman would be the ideal next fight. But he bitched out once already

Then you get to a stay busy vs the mandatories. Some bloke named Lewis crocker is his ibf mando

I predict he faces giyasov the wba # 1 next
