I'm with JOM. Ryan's garbage. Rolly's not below Ryan's league.

Rolly is the one who did better against Stank.

    Theyre both bums

Lopez losing to kambozo was inexcusable for the simple fact that the boxing airwaves have been polluted with kambozo for the past few years since and he's hardly won any rounds vs world class or even ranked guys he's faced

Wlad Vs Purritty ........the template was there. Follow it and you win, easily.

Guy had gone the distance with big hitters and was easily negotiated. Jab his face off, walk around, take a break, do it again.

Punching yourself out trying to impress your home crowd by stopping a guy that Tommy Morrison and Sanders had both gone 12 with was vainglorious and unnecessary.

    Totally avoidable loss.

Terry Norris to Luis Santana. Acting jobs aside, WTF was Terry doing in the second bout? He hit Santana right when Bayless was talking to him.

Well yeah I guess Tyson-Douglas is the ultimate answer for this question.

In recent years, I have to agree on Lopez-Kambosos. Teo had no right losing to a guy on that level.

I can kinda see the difference. Tyson lost to Holyfield in a big upset, and yet as big as it was, it had clamour etc beforehand because Evander was a former undisputed Champion and proven world class fighter. Tyson-Douglas on the other hand, Buster had for the most part done NOTHING, apart from putting up a few good rounds against a guy Mike already beaten comfortably. He did nothing after the fight either apart from get diabetes. There are levels to upsets.

    No, it's "INEXCUSABLE L's"...

For Example, Mosley-Forrest I was an "Upset", yet it's Not as if Fans were Wondering How the Hell Shane "Lost to THAT Guy?", Afterwards...

Wright-Mosley 1 was a notable upset according to the oddsmakers.

Afterwards, fans mostly weren’t wondering how Shane lost to Winky. They were more likely wondering “how the hell was Winky a 5 to 2 betting underdog?”

I bet Wright by decision there

Got slightly worried toward the end he may stop mosley as he was beating that ass

And I know he didn't technically lose, but he went to a draw with Marion "The Creep" Wilson, who had a 7-9-2 record!

Was Griffith being blown out in a round by Carter "inexcusable"?

Griffith being blown in a frog bath house by your father after the minter fight was inexcusable

Whatever arrangements my father and your mother had were between them....don't take it personally that he left her languishing in a Khmer whorehouse.

First one is easier to explain. Undefeated champion underestimates a little known challenger. Mayorga comes in going full force and has a style unlike anything he's encountered at the top level.

Even though the decision in the rematch was questionable, he and his team should obviously have done better.

Agreed the first fight is understandable but I looked at it as a fluke. The second fight - I have no idea why it was so close when Forrest had the jump on Mayorga by that point and knew what was coming.

I suppose Mayorgas chin was at the peak of its powers at that point. The folklore around Mayorga as a madman was huge too. His power also seemed legit. Knowing he can take your best shot to the point where he was willing to allow you a clean punch probably got into Forrests head. He also usually always threw his wild punches in bunches and was hardly ever throwing single shots. I gotta rewatch that fight sometime soon. I mean Forrest was seen as a really good technician by that point with his ammy career and beating of Shane at Shanes peak. Then gets run over by a wild slugger and struggles in the 12 round rematch.

I think it may have been a bit psychological. Against Mosley he was the underdog, but he knew he could win. It wasn't false confidence.

Against Mayorga it was look like he was trying to make it look like he wasn't in any way spooked, but in control. I believe mentally he had issues dealing with Mayorga. If he approached it more in a more stoic professional manner as in "well i guess i can't knock this guy out with a good right hand, i'll just outbox him" it would have been different.

Definitely Psychological...As Evidenced by his Untimely Death, Vernon Forrest Wasn't the Type to "Let Go" of Slights or Perceived Disrespect...PRIDE is a Motherfucker and it Cost Vernon his Life...

Ricardo Mayorga was a Master of Pre-Fight Slights/Disrespect and Vernon was Out to PROVE Something in their 1st Bout...Forrest was @ his Best "Boxing", Yet There He Was, Caught Up Trying to "Fight" Mayorga...

Forrest lost to Mayorga twice because Forrest was merely a "good" fighter. A good fighter who had a great fighter's number.
