Yeah. Nothing I ever did was right or good. He couldn't do it on his own, and when it was finished he took it over and refused to share it. Very unsettling experience.

Apparently Tony Bloom is doubling down on his association with Hearts and trying to buy 25% of the club. Call me crazy but I honestly think he could get Hearts competing - if Union Saint Gilloise can compete with Bruge, Hearts can compete with Celtic. Between this and the Bournemouth owners stake in Hibs I'm hoping Scottish football gets a bit more interesting over the next few years (and gives sellik a needed kick up the arse). Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs are all clubs averaging 17, 18k a week - no reason they can't match Union SG, Bodo, Alkmaar, Mitdyland etc & if they do we're not everest frankly

I think either of them can still go through and I could not pick a winner of the final

Man U fans who left Old Fagford early when Man U were losing to Lyon. Some of them had to catch the comeback on a TV from outside. Others you could see sprinting back to see what they missed.

    Cunts.

I know TV networks must be upset.

Barca vs Arsenal would have done massive mainstream numbers.

However, for pure football fans, I kinda like that it's Inter vs PSG.

I think they would've been pretty neutral between arsenal & psg, plenty Instagram fans of both, globally

Rooting for Inter. They deserve to win it after that semi final. PSG have been absolutely fantastic in the knockout stages, they'll be hard to stop.

Arteta looked distraught. His year will be defined by "what if"....

Saka...hard to criticise him at all because he got them back into it BUT...he'll be seeing that open goal in his nightmares.

Hope Inter win it now too but I don't think they've got a chance IF Paris show up.

    France or Italy. Nice.

Back in England, Mugslea FC are losing to Newcastle, bigly. If Forest win Vs Lester, Mugslea will be 6th.

Within a week of Tony Bloom's offer to drag hearts into c21 their existing board go and 1) appoint a manager b/c he 'knows the (shit, backwards) league' 2) give 30 y/o Lawrence Shankland a 15k/w contract 3) offer 42 year old Craig Gordon an extension. Fuck yer data & analysis this is scoaatlund! Scottish fitbaw dominated by the equivalent of ww1 generals with big mustaches who thought anything but horses and formation marching was new fangled nonsense

It was like that at Liverpool about 20 years ago. Guy who owned club was living in 1986. £10m for new big signings! It was all very respectable. Ho hum. 4th again. Hicks and Gillette were gangsters but the old mold had to get broken.....

American sport is a generation ahead with all that stuff so you probably lucked out a bit with Hicks & Gillette. Celtic more or less just rely on guys the manager knows & when that runs dry we invite agents in the City Group network to flog us somebody. Once in a while Dermot remembers he owns Celtic & personally insists we sign somebody he's seen on Motd like Joe Hart or James McCarthy. Its amateur hour. So im really hoping Hearts & Rangers get good enough to shake us awake

Is Andy Cole the most underrated player (or striker) in premiership history?

60k at Anfield. Maybe 1 in 5 booed. Standard issue. It's not like he's going to play for Tranmere. It's fucking Real Madrid. Not nice.

Slot said it best:- it's Europe, you're supposed to have freedom of expression and freedom of opinion .

If he is it's news to me. Guy broke the transfer record and took ages to get going and is universally highly regarded. He's probably the most overlooked. Lots of Cantona and Class of 92 bollox etc.

Sounds like Real Madrid are going the same way with Konate, encouraging him to run down his contract and to sign for free with them, it seems like they dont fancy paying transfer fees anymore...hoping it falls apart at the Bernabeu under Alonso, who seems like a good sort but not sure it's the right club for a manager with ideas about how to organise a team

I think so. 4th all time goalscorer in PL history but doesn't get talked about much. His scoring record during his spell at Newcastle was mental.
