August 16 in Saudi Arabia. Looks like it’s actually gonna happen. Does Teo finish what Garcia started against Haney?

I dont like the fight. Haney will try his best to stink it out

Lopez will be at a weight disadvantage. I still think lopez will win but it will probably be boring and tactical.

He needs fight to win rather than to hurt haney. When he goes into pressure mode vs movers he looks his worst. Rely on his athleticism and timing

 

I dont understand Boots. He turns down the Ortiz fight because he doesn't wanna leave 147, now turns down the Lopez fight claiming he can no longer make 147...

Boots is a very talented fighter, but he's now sabotaged TWO mainstream fights. Makes you wonder...

As for Teo vs Haney... stylewise, Haney has a chance. Teo's a counterpuncher, he doesnt do well when he has to lead. Haney's a live underdog to steal a boring decision.

I’m gonna go with Haney here. I think he’ll use his jab and movement/running to take a decision here. Teo needs a guy to come TOWARDS him to shine.

 

I agree this fight will suck from an entertainment standpoint. If Lopez is not careful, fight could fall into similar pattern as Prograis fight. This seems like a fantastic chance for Haney to redeem himself with win over top guy. Not sure what it does for Lopez though. He must be making A-side dough I guess.

 

Everyone here seems to agree that haney aka NDG is an unwatchable bitch. So it's settled

 

This fight all comes down to if Teofimo is mentally focused and if Haney is going to fight to win or to survive. If Teo is locked in and focused then I can see him pulling off a win against Haney.

I’m not gonna be expecting an exciting fight but it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.

 

He's the most unwatchable fighter in boxing by far. I'll be rooting for Teo, even though I'm not crazy about Teo.

Yep. Haney is cancer, but lets not pretend this matchup is an exciting fighter vs a spoiler. Lopez hasn't knocked anyone out for years and they weren't all running scared.
