Apparently the buss family still holds 15% minority interest and Jeanie buss is still the lead decision maker in the front office

Them and the celtics selling now leads me to believe these owners suspect the franchise values have reached a plateau, at least for the foreseeable future. And that they won't continue to rise or may even drop, in line with ratings and overall interest

So yeah, if Dr Buss believed this to be true I could see him making a similar deal where he still has ownership stake and final say so with hiring/firing
