In June 1999, he was denied a ticket on an overbooked flight and subsequently became disruptive, leading to his arrest for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief. He resisted arrest, broke away, and ran down the jetway, requiring pepper spray to subdue him. He also kicked out the windshield of the police car after being handcuffed.
