Sellik to travel to the Chinese border to face the mighty Almaty for CL qualification. We needed a draw like that b/c the board sold our two best attackers, our third got injured until 2026 and we haven't replaced any of them. If we'd ended up with Copenhagen or Brugge like the huns have we'd be burnt toast

Semenyo is a proper handful...Liverpool chemistry not quite there today, not much of a debut for Wirtz and Ekitike looks like he will miss as much as he will score...

Delighted to see Chiesa score, they will probably ship him out as it hasn't worked out but hopefully he will get an injury free run at a good club

City looked pretty good against a mediocre Wolves but maybe a little fortunate that they scored first, they looked a bit shaky early doors....Spurs will finish top 6 because of Frank, their best hire since Poch....

I think Jack Grealish at Everton will be a bust, and Everton will be lucky (again) to stave off relegation, first season at a new ground, I think it's v realistic this year

I bet £10 on Man Utd to win. Won't be doing that again.

Man Utd are SHIT, they've been shit for ages, and they will continue to be shit for the foreseeable future. They're not going to become great again with a few signings, their whole culture needs to change. I get they were the dominant force for two decades but people need to let go. I don't understand why people keep falling into this trap every season.

If I had fuck you money, I'd put it on Everton to go down, their only saving grace is that Brentford will struggle until they replace Andrews, that Burnley are a near sure thing, and Leeds looked only marginally better than Everton.

What I resent is the kid gloves they're getting treated with.

People act like they're some plucky little club trying their best.

Mbuemo is a good player but is he Berbatov or Rooney or Cole levels?

Amorim won'take it to Christmas imho

Celtic have effectively had a year to identify a kyogo replacement and the answer we seem to have hit on is.... Jamie Vardy?

'Sorry Brendan we've scoured the planet and can't find a single striker - do you have anybodys number saved on your mobile,?'

Basketcase operation. Won't improve until Desmond dies

It seems sometimes clubs just to look for someone with no other qualification other than the fans probably heard of them. "They have experience".

Let the scouts do their job instead of plugging holes with retreads.

Nobody was heard of until they were.

Yeah that's our main issue, recruitment is a basketcase. We had one really good year of recruitment when Ange first came in and have been living off the fumes of it since. The chairmans son was chief scout for two years!

We've new scouting this year who seem better. But the board seem so chastened by previous failures they, so far, won't let them spend more than ~1.5m(!) on anyone. They've tied their hands and ankles together.

Brendan refusing to play the budget Japanese signings saying they're not 'ready'. Partly I suspect as an f-u to the board. But he's also probably right.

I can't really overstate what a fucking shit show it is

I think Vardy is Rodgers throwing his hands up and saying 'I'll do it myself' and going through his phone contacts

Ironically he'd have no problem getting Desmond to sign off on that b/c old Dermot will remember Vardy from MOTD

This is why Tony Bloom is into Hearts, we're an old lumbering dinosaur waiting to be picked off by a smaller, agile predator

Brugge were at Ibrox last night - 6 new signings in already, nearly all signed from top 5 leagues. We should be Brugge, at least. But our board have no interest in what properly run clubs like Bruge are doing tho, RFC are their own reference point

On the up side- Tierney is the biggest fish we'll ever catch and he decided, totally of his own accord, to jump into our rowing boat himself so it's not all bad.
