Yeah. I just saw it come across a sports ticker. I had a hard time believing Munich would hire him but I thought that's what it said.

Good news. We didn't manage to sign any strikers. But we did manage to sell last seasons second choice striker after not replacing the first choice.

Also our first choice RW is now 35 y/o james forrest who was 4th choice under Ange

Can't overstate this thing, really can't

We've 100 million sitting in a cash account

You think it might be worth a bet that Celtic don't win the league? The thing is that Rangers look awfully shit too .

I think we're still favourites but we're there for the taking if anyone can take, I'd be shocked if we clear our usual ~93, 94 points & with the extent of the rancor I wouldn't rule out the wheels coming off and us dropping nearer 80

It's a shame Hearts are still in a boardroom civil war, Bloom vs old guard dinosaurs, as evinced in incoherence like appointing Derek mccinnis and giving Shankland a bumper contract. B/c if they'd given him free reign he mightve hit it, first swing

But we've just seen exactly why he saw Hearts as such an opportunity. We might be large but we're an old, bloated, hobbling mark of a top dog

Arteta has to win PL or CL or he's gone. Negative tactics after all of the money spent in attack is ridiculous. Gyokeres gets all the criticism yet they can't pass it forward.

I love Eze because he came through us at QPR, but it's been so obvious for literally every neutral that Arsenal need a proper goalscorer. Eze is fantastic, but he isn't that. It will forever baffle me why Arsenal didn't go all in for Toney.

Gyokeres is a beast but they dont pass the ball forward enough. It's stupid. Martinelli is useless and brain dead. Hope Eze plays LW. It was a great homecoming for him to rejoin Arsenal after being released as a teen.

    Ireland 2 2 Hungary, Group F Qualifier

Stirring stuff but you've got to ask if Ireland couldn't have won it.

Played 40 minutes Vs 10 men, scored 1, in the 93rd.

Stirring stuff. Avoided defeat. But must beat Armenia now. Probably hoping that Portugal beat Hungary home and away to get Ireland into the playoffs.

    Latest from the Celtic implosion

Late last week 100 CSCs from around the world and 10 top podcasts co-signed a letter. We're a shambles, have been for years excluding Ange's first season, what's going on, whos even in charge here, whats your plan, somebody communicate please, ta.

First noise in return was the celtic boards feeding their pet journalist at the Sun a hit piece on Rodgers. 'Anonymous sources' saying it was all Rodgers fault, 'he's tearing the club apart', sowing division, angling for a move.

This dialed up fan fury from 11 to 12

So the club reluctantly figure it's time to actually communicate. Late on Saturday evening they release a gpt penned statement which basically amounted to: i) the fans don't know what it's like out there ii) every club we deal with overvalues their players so we can't buy anyone iii) uefa rules mean we can't buy anyone (despite lowest wage/turnover ratio and biggest cash cushion in europe) iv) the huns went bust- remember that? You wouldn't wanna go bust would you? V) look at our cash balance we're a roaring success, kiss it

    12 to 13.

If Rodgers had any integrity he'd quit and tell everybody why but that would cost him £3m, at least. So he's gonna keep mouthing lies, going through the motions and.... come on Hearts

Yeah Brendan is company man , a spoofer. Yes £3m (before tax) is a lot of money but Wtf does he need the money for? More new teeth? Perhaps he's afraid of becoming redundant, unemployable. He should go to Wisconsin.

Unfortunately I think Celtic will still walk the league. Walk it.

This is the mentality that gets at me.

I'm a fan/customer not a board memer. I'm supposed to be happy with an inferior product because you're making a tidy profit? What does that do for me exactly?

The perverse thing is the shares are mostly still held by fans anyway who consistently vote not to take dividends. Desmond has a controlling stake but it's only 34% and he doesn't really get renumeration based on profit either. But he seems to basically control things and, mostly thru indifference imo, has just prioritised this extreme safetism and as long as we make a shilling more than we spend and beat rangers his inept pals running the club are doing fine and pass me the five iron, what's for lunch

It's like you're running a restaurant and the staff tells you the customers were mostly unhappy with their meals.

"Oh, did they pay for them though?

    "Well, yeah but.."

"Then what's the problem? We made some money and doing better than the outfit down the block".

Honestly they played far better 2nd half but they're just shit. Winston Stalin Rockne could give a speech and you'd be lucky to get a rise out of them.

It's all a bit unfortunate. It's not that he isn't 'good enough' to be a Celtic back up striker - he's a decent finisher and he managed to get goals in europe and vs huns so wasn't only stat padding vs Ross County. But two things really fucked him, the first being the fee. We'd recently had strikers at least that good (better, imo) for a quarter the fee so if we were spending 10m odd we should've been moving the needle quality wise and he wasnt it. Second problem being the way Rodgers wants his 9 to play - dropping deep, 'getting involved', playing link up. Even Kyogos form suffered through that and he's 5 times the technician Adam is, b/c if you're in the centre circle you cant be attacking the posts. And he wasnt good at it so nlmost his touches ended up being him dropping deep and passing it back to Schmeichel or Scales. The third time that happens in a game you start hearing from the crowd. For that I mostly blame Rodgers

And yet he never mentions Rodgers. Not once. Scared of offending managers who might be able to "get him a gig" later.

The association of Celtic Supporters club's, Green Brigade & Jungle Bhoys have now co-signed a 'vote of no confidence' in response the clubs statement. Obviously has no legal bearing but it escalates the pressure. They undeniably represent 'key stakeholders' in vapid corporate jargon terms. All this really needs to lead to a campaign to buy Desmond out, though.

Hoping the Scots qualify for the WC, they have a few more quality players than some of the other 'home countries' other than the obvious. Rather them than boring Denmark or Greece.
