The outcome of this fight is a decrement to “money” Mayweather legacy…..so good.

I had Lara beating him 8-4 and Golovkin beat him 9-3 in the first fight.

He was a manufactured ATG and I've made that argument before.

Excellent fighter, but these arguments his fans make for him beating the likes of Hagler and Monzon... LMFAO!

I tought Lara squandered the fight against Canelo, and had the 1st GGG fight much closer (though i was drunk when I watched it...), but even then, you had to be a very special person to pick him against Hagler or Monzon

For those who had it 10-2 or even 9-3, I wonder what was your scorecard for the Bivol fight which was much wider imo

Canelo couldn’t do anything vs Crawford….Bud was touching, moving, turning Canelo. Canelo landed a few clean right hands but nothing, he even landed the left uppercut/right hand combo he loves and Bud ate that shit.

The only sure punch Canelo landed consistently in the fight was that left hook at the start of every round…

You know what Crawford should have his next fight at 169 defend his titles vs CHARLO….

a retirement gift from Bud to the world….

Nobody here was expecting a slugfest, but I must say that it's a bit disappointing that it turned out into a bit of a sparring session. Again, that's pretty much how we all knew it was going to turn, but considering that it was the first mega fight on netflix, i cant see it bringing in any new fans unfortunately

But the biggest upset of the night was Crocker beating Donovan in their rematch for some paper title.
He looked completely outclassed in their first fight and seemed a sureshot that he was being sent to the slaughterhouse. Not sure if anyone caught it but it was a great fight from what I read.

Put it this way --- even that guy Boxing Nuke on YouTube -- who is THE biggest Canelo groupie on Earth, said Crawford humiliated Canelo.

No one sane could possibly score it for Nelo.

Canelo is an example of a guy who was a very good fighter who was matched well and made to look better than he was. He had a helluva run. But I think he’s done now. Hall of famer for sure. But nowhere near the GOAT of Mexico.

I have no idea why you were expecting anything more. Canelo always goes into a shell when he's getting his ass kicked.

Oh yes boxing Nuke (who the fuck is that), that paragon of boxing knowledge. As i said, there wasnt a lot happening in the first few rounds, and depending on how you scored them (and a few other close ones), i could see scorecards ranging from 118-110 to 116-112. Its weird that you seem to want this to be a topic of discussion since everyone agree it was a clear bud win, and that hes probably the one who could improve more on his performance

Another weird non sequitur and snon sensical answer....

I wonder how you can get from this post and my posts before the fight that i was expecting more than that ?

It still dissapointing cause it was, unless im mistaken, the first big free event (everyone have netflix) in decades. Would have created a ton of new fans if it turned into a great fight. Yet, it was pretty much a bore (AS WE PRETTY MUCH ALL EXPECTED. Im repeating it again, to be sure you dont misinterpret me this time).

Edit: thinking about it, maybe the first big free event was Tyson vs Paul lol. Which was also a bore....

Im glad this fight tarnished the legacy of Alvarez among many folks. I never thought the guy was anything special but plenty did. If i were one of the unfortunate souls who praised him, I wouldn't put much stock in this fight at this point of his career. Anyone with adequate vision and rudimentary boxing acumen could see he's been taking victory laps the past few years

It exceeded my expectations action wise. Crawfords surge in the second half of the fight made it more watchable than anticipated

For the life of me I never saw it.

I'll actually amend what I said before: Canelo was more overrated than Loma. Only a small minority of groupies rated Loma in Floyd/Duran type class.

Whereas a MAJORITY were calling Canelo the Mexican GOAT.

Canelo can't shine the shoes of a Chavez, Sanchez, Olivares.

Zarate is greater than Canelo, never mind Chavez and Olivares

You're attempting to gaslight. No, it was not just 14-year-olds...

Plenty of boxing pundits/journalists have called Saul the Mexican GOAT.

Im honestly not, i dont really listen or read these so called pundits, since they are pretty much idiots for the vast majority. If some of them actually said that, it only proves that my decision to ignore them is the right one.

Hell, im not even sure Id rate him over the trio of Mab, morales and JMM, even before tonight

I saw the first page of the general section on ESB and I think my IQ dropped a few points.

Also it didn’t help that I came from a fight party at one of my friend’s houses and got to listen to gems there from some of the people there.

One of the guests…friendly guy but sounded like part of LDBC.

“Pacquiao was a cheater but Floyd was clean”

“Fury had to cheat to beat Wilder”

“Broner was one of the most talented boxers ever”

It was decent. A bit better than I expected, cause Bud turned up the heat in the last few rounds. But it was far from an excellent fight

Unless Alvarez does some major shit at the end of his career he's nowhere close to marquez
