Let's be very honest... Bud would have beaten Floyd

Only weight I'd favor Floyd is 135, simply because he was more seasoned and experienced at the weight.

140 and above, I'd take Bud. And really, I take Bud without much hesitation.

Bud is also a harder challenge for the Fab 4 than Floyd would be.

While PBF had some attributes that made him look like a better fighter at first glance, im no longer sure he was in fact better than Bud

He's not. Casuals will always believe that Floyd was better, because they've gained their knowledge from ESPN, but I feel that in the future most us hardcores will regard Crawford as the better fighter.

Maybe, but even though i despise PBF, his resume is still much better than Crawford one. Yeah Bud victory tonight was inpressive, but PBF did the same 10 years ago

In comparing resumes, Crawford’s is more top heavy. But after that, Floyd’s is much deeper with good solid wins.

Floyd's resume is deeper than Roy's too, but we can all agree that Roy was a better fighter. Same deal here. I just think Bud's better than Floyd.

I dont think Bud would have had a close fight with an aging Oscar.

I think Bud would have stopped the 2007 Oscar.

Styles make fights…n Bud would be a nightmare for Floyd. Bud blends offense/defense nicely….he would be very aggressive vs Floyd who always look smaller than his opponents.

Crawford is a bigger human than Mayweather jr. Im skeptical about him stopping 154 lb fishnets in his first fight in that division

Who wins if him and Mayweather jr fight at 135-147 is a definite debate

Floyd resume is miles ahead of Bud….not even close.

Objectively looking at his career, that was Mayweather jrs worst division

I think the Floyd that beat Ndou was too experienced for the Crawford that beat Gamboa.

I have thought so for a while. Two master adjusters but Bud being the bigger man, plus having the ability to find new angles with the switch hitting, I feel it would have been the solution to Floyd's defence.

I do not know if Crawford would have beaten Floyd. I do know that Floyd would NEVER have fought him.

The excuses alone would have been worth £59.99 themselves.

i dont see it. certain guys like floyd just fight their fight against everybody. bud fell into awkward rhythms many times and just gave rounds away and fights got close that shouldnt have been.

wouldnt be surprised though. just watching crawford fight noone stands out to me as having a big stylistic advantage over him.

It's not a forgone conclusion but I agree. There's nothing Floyd can really hurt him with and opening up against an excellent boxer with a longer reach would pose major problems.

Floyd is faster and has more talent. Crawford is such a solid pro. I think I'd lean Floyd, but not with any real confidence. Last night, I leaned Canelo without any real confidence and the two 7-5 scores seemed very generous to Canelo.

Weird how Crawford was able to get larger without any negative impact. We've seen many fighters who look a little out of shape even one weight class above. Hell, sometimes when they miss weight by a couple of pounds.

How is Floyd more talented than Bud? You could say more skilled defensively, but more talented? Hell no.

yeah i mean i know its generally taboo to discuss and dont mean it as any sort of discredit, but the guy at 135 140 147 had fight night weights in the low-mid 150s and did not react the best to clean shots. at nearly 40 coming into ring 177 178 solid as a rock with same stamina quickness improved chin...at 38??

and buds talent has always been apparent and is basically up there near as good as it gets. fast, hits hard, great counter puncher switch hitter. dude has it all.

He's not even close. Good fighter. That's it. Nowhere near elite tier of 168lbrs....he might not even be top 20.

Is it just me or did Ricky Burns turn in a better pfp performance Vs Bud than Canelo lol

Canelo turned out to be a lot better than I originally thought, but still not nearly as good as people (casuals and newcomers) say.

People putting him in serious consideration as the #1 Mexican fighter ever was ridiculous to me. Obviously there’s JCC, but even in the 21st century, there were better Mexican fighters.

I’ve never seen anyone at 168 than I’m picking over RJJ

We have to becareful about putting too much weight into a fighters' resume. Look before Bivol fought Canelo werent people saying Canelo had the better resume? And yes Floyd beat Canelo 10 years ago but this Canelo had more experience and was bigger(muscular) than the 147 version. I'm saying the resume argument some means fuck all sometimes.
