    Speaking of Floyd at 130.

I was posting on a few boxing website (guest books not forums, that's how fucking long ago it was) when he fought Angel Manfredy. I remember the predictions being about 50/50 on the boxing sites going into that fight.

    Sounds crazy now.

He wanted no part of Magarito.

Magarito posed less of a threat of than Crawford would.

Was he even someone to consider at that time? PAC fought him a year later at 154 and said he was too big.

Finally we agree on something. I was at the mgm for this fight(75 bucks) for cheap seats but the arena was so empty we upgraded and moved our way down lol. But yeah from what I remember this was supposed to be a though fight for Floyd and he made it look easy. He dismantled Corrales by far the best guy on his resume. Like Canelo he has big names on his resume but at the wrong time o weight. A green Canelo, Washed up Mosley,Cotto and Dela Hoya. Ect......

Washed mosley, granted was inactive, but coming off the most impressive, dominant win of career before he lost to Mayweather jr

Was Mayweather jr green when he beat 32 year old genaro hernandez who was unbeaten at 130lbs, at age 21? Hernandez was washed?

Doesn't quite add up. Alvarez was 23 facing an almost 37 year old Mayweather jr

Mayweather helped pay for Chicanito's funeral. I knew Genaro he was a cool dude. He hated De La Hoya. A bit salty...rip Genaro.

Prime Floyd would avoid Crawford. Why the fuck would old man Floyd decide to fight him?

The man was already shot once in the head. I'd imagine he'd try to prevent that from happening again...

Better to be caught with a gun by the cops than be caught without one by a car jacker.

Thing about Bud is that he's really a bit of everything - he's hard to describe.

There are pressure fighters, swarmers, sluggers, sharpshooters, outboxers, defensive fighters, boxer/punchers, counterpunchers etc etc. Most boxers fall into one of these categories quite easily.

Bud is hard to put in a category - he does it all. Boxer/puncher is closest I guess.

Sharpshooter relies on accuracy and not volume - in the Bud/Canelo fight Bud threw more volume (538 vs 338) - Canelo was the sharpshooter,Bud was he boxer/puncher.

That half assed volume would've never worked against a real legit 168lber like jean pascal

Yeah, but how many of these shots were meaningful? Bud is a guy that like to take his time and change a fight (or a round) with a few good punches.

Edit: just checked, among the 538, 326 were jabs, 45 of which landed. Which means they were pretty much bullshit range finding jabs. I wouldnt call that a volume fighter
