    Jaron Ennis, 168-lb contender

Ennis called em all out. Never heard him do that

Lime was cold from standing in the ring half an hour

Okay…called them all out Ortiz, Fundango, Baccarat, that baby cub Charlo, Xander…

    Boots sounds a bit drunk…

With how quickly the fight ended, Boots could literally walk across the street to Philadelphia Live! and make quick work of Baccarat

When is the last time 2 undisputed champs fought each other….I’m visioning Boots unifying 154…Bud 160 and then fighting early 2027.

Baccarat will be coming for blood

    What a pathetic mismatch.

Ortiz is one of my favorite fighters around but ennis would massacre him

Ennis entered the ring dry vs lima and literally didn't even break a sweat

Lima is terrible, though. Boots may well beat Ortiz, but Vergil would put up more of a fight than this guy did.

Have you seen any of his other fights? How could you draw any conclusions on lima based on less than a round vs the most talented boxer on the planet?

I've always thought that Boots would beat the brakes off Vergil. Vergil isnt particularly good. Thats why I was so goddamn disappointed that Ennis avoided the fight.

No more excuses. It better be next. And if they do fight, yes, I would take Ennis by stoppage. Again, Vergil Ortiz isnt all that. He's a good fighter, but he's not a top 10 P4P talent like Ennis is.

I think ortiz is that good

Ennis is the most talented guy in the game, though

And style wise the aggression of ortiz plays into the strengths of ennis

Boots would take Ortiz out inside of 5

Boots better try to avoid Murtazaliev though

Predictable outcome but Boots looked impressive doing what he was supposed to do. Now’s the time to finally see him step up. Next year should be exciting for the 154 division as long as the top fighters don’t avoid each other.

Murta is quality, but you guys are acting like he's prime Golovkin or something. He's not.

Ennis would quite rightly be the favorite over Murtazaliev.

Crawford, though he's now older, remains the most talented fighter. Theres no one in the sport who can do what Bud does, that includes Ennis.

But Jaron is extremely talented, and I'd be quite surprised if he didn't stomp Vergil TBH. Vergil's defense is non-existent. Ennis, if he's half as good as we think he is, should light Ortiz up.

I like ennis a lot, but I'm not sure his defense is good enough for him to be called the most talented guy in the game.

    Xplosive X-MOD Bad Motherfucker

He certainly doesn't have the defensive reflexes of Whitaker, but when I see him get caught, its by guys he doesn't respect.

I would expect Ennis to fight up the level of his comp.

IF Ennis-Ortiz really is next, I'm predicting a virtuoso performance from Ennis.

It's sure is one of the most intriguing fight in boxing

  22. Neil

    Neil tueur de grenouilles

Crawford is more skilled and alot more experienced than ennis at this point

    More talented, I disagree

Cameron dunkin RiP said ennis is the best talent he managed, and he used to manage crawford

If ennis won a gold medal on network television in boxings heyday of the late 70s perhaps he would've been more enticing to name opponents

Or perhaps if he looked more beatable and with a different promoter he could've gotten the fights you all wanted to see him in

As it turned out he made some decent money off his talent alone and potential and now he'll have his chance to shine while hes reaching his physical/skill level peak

I compare him to mosley. Great talent, avoided in his division, had to move up for the big fights. Mosley was around his age when he landed the delahoya fight that really established him at the top

  29. Xplosive

    Xplosive X-MOD Bad Motherfucker

That's a huge insult to Shane. Mosley was voted fighter of the year in 98 BEFORE he moved up to welter, and had a better resume at the same age. Mosley was universally considered top 10 P4P before he faced Oscar; Boots hasn't done enough to justify top 10 P4P.

I'm not trying to be too harsh on Boots; I believe him when he says Vergil is next. And once he beats Vergil, he'll be top 10 P4P.

    But he's no Mosley.

  30. Neil

    Neil tueur de grenouilles

There's no real difference between the 2. Mosley had hbo to get him the fights that allowed him to win foty. It was more about the volume than anything else the year he won it at 135. He beat James leija and John John molina

If ennis was around back then he'd have been on hbo as well and more active
