I won't keep beating a dead horse, but for the life of me I cannot see Loma over Golovkin.

Loma does not have a SINGLE win over an elite fighter in their prime. Not a one. His best win was over a past prime Rigo at 130.

Golovkin beating a prime Canelo alone surpasses anything Loma did.

And in terms of quality, H2H in a P4P matchup you guys would really pick prime Loma over prime Golov? Man, I'm just not seeing it. Loma would get fucked up.

I will say one positive thing about Loma -- he should have a Davis win on his resume. But that woman beating faggot ducked a prime Loma.

None of these 3 in the title have a victory as noteworthy as rigondeaux over donaire

Prime Rigo was a better fighter than Loma in a P4P sense.

Loma doesnt have any performance like the Donaire fight.

    Two points to counter this:

    1. Please, do not compare the two. Loma-Haney was a fight that could have gone either way. Giving the win to Loma is fine, but let's not act like it was some egregious robbery. It was a very close fight. Golovkin-Alvarez 1 was not a close fight. It was one of the worst robberies in boxing history. Golovkin won 9 goddamn rounds. There's only two draws in history worse than Golov-Canelo 1 -- Whitaker-Chavez and Lewis-Holy 1.

    2. Canelo's a far better fighter than Haney, so a legitimate win over him means more. Moreover, Haney was killing himself to make 135. Loma had a dead man in front of him and still couldn't win as wide as he should have.

Loma's legacy will look better if Teo puts a whuppin on Shakur. It will prove that maybe Teo is a special fighter in big fights.

If Shakur badly outclases Teo, it really is not a good look for Loma.

Lomachenko beat haney and golovkin beat Alvarez in their first fight, inwhich i was robbed of a $ickening amount.

Not sure how to compare the levels to those robberies but I'll agree with xplosive there. A win over Alvarez at that point was much more meaningful

Rigondeauxs win over prima donaire was still way better than either!

I also would argue golovkin was closer to his decline by then from how guys shamelessly ducked him leading up to that point where as lomachenko got more action with name guys willingly facing him in lopez and haney

It's interesting, normally i don't listen to much these days of pre fight talk but Stevenson is saying things like how he wants to test himself and this is a great challenge vs a legit guy who's much bigger and stronger. Didnt figure him to say such shit based on how he always talked bout this matchup prior to it getting signed.

Maybe hes simply trying to elevate the victory if he wins but sounds less confident. I expected him to just say he'll wash the guy

Loma-Haney was not a robbery. I fucking despise both of them, so I have no reason for bias discussing that fight. A case could be made for either guy. It was a literally a case of either 7-5 Loma, a draw, or 7-5 Haney. We gotta stop calling close fights robberies just because the fan favorite didn't win.

Canelo had ZERO objective case for winning the first Golovkin fight, or even getting the bullshit draw he got. It was the textbook definition of a robbery decision.

I only watched both their interviews on The Breakfast Club. Shakur sounded highly confident to me. He showed a tremendous amount of respect for Teo, but I didn't sense any lack of confidence whatsoever.

To his credit, Teo sounded confident too. Both believe they can beat the other, which is what we wanna see.

The Breakfast Club interviews are actually very good imo. Worth watching.

That faggot Charlamagne loves boxing, to his credit, and I respect him for always giving fighters exposure on the show. Thats the only respect I'll ever give that clown.

The thing with the lomachenko haney fight was the early to mid rounds youd have to give haney to have him winning. I dont care to rewatch it either, but haney was mostly landing his only effective shots to the body. If those were effective and what was winning him the fight you'd think he would've closer stronger, which he didn't. Maybe thats attributed to him boiling down to 135 and maybe he now has a case there that hes been proven to be more legit looking at welter

I was rooting for haney, but i dont really see how you could score it for him. A draw was the best he could have gotten imo

    Golovkin was very average.

Kovalev was physically and skillwise very good but mentally poo

LOmachenko is the real deal. He would fight and win his fair share across the generations.

Walters had been in bad form coming into the Loma fight. No one expected him to win that fight, myself included. Loma was a big favorite and dominated as expected.

Rigo was an underdog against Donaire, making the shut out impressive.

I had GGG vs Canelo I & II both draws. GGG's actual best win is Jacobs and I don't believe that Jacobs is any better than say Russel Jr.

GGG won Canelo I & II imo. First fight was clear, second one was close cards-wise but each individual round had a clear winner and was actually quite easy to score. Golovkin won more of the rounds. Rescored it during lockdown and had the same result.
