The best Irish stout is O'Hara imo but it's stupidly rare here.

I don't see Villa as genuine title contenders, they'll fall away much like the last time they were in this position a couple of years ago. Fair play though, one hell of a run they've put together.

They've been riding their luck, how many screamers from 20+ yards have they scored? Feels like 10 or something

I think we all seriously underestimate luck/chance in fitbaw. Villa have riden theirs like a flying unicorn

Oh for sure, they were second best today too. Saying that it probably evens out their poor start when they went winless and only scored 2 goals in 6 or something, as they're obviously better than that.

Liverpool have been very mixed. Joint 4th nonetheless. 4th or 3rd have to be the targets, maybe a Cup too.

Honestly, I still don't completely rule Liverpool out of the race completely. They're obviously long shots and it would be a big surprise, but 10 points off at Christmas is not insurmountable and has been done before. The problem is they would be relying on collapses from two teams and they're still not in a place themselves where they don't lose silly games.

Yeah it's not that I don't fancy an Arsenal collapse it's just that Liverpool are as likely to screw it up themselves too.

Now we have this fucking Isak injury too.

Honestly, I think that might be a blessing in disguise, Isak's been shite and I got the feeling Liverpool felt they had to play him because of the fee and all the furore around his signing. Ekitike has been much more on it and now can finally get the stable run in the team he deserves.

Theres been a really weird twitter phenomena this calander year of Irish people accusing Celtic fans of being anti-Irish because Adam Idah & John Kenny are pure fucking pish.

I see lots of weird shit. Like supporting Irish neutrality means you want Ireland to be "defenceless". I think people are just FUCKING THICK.

He's been off it. The few chances he's had, he's buried them. No pre season..

You know who has done fuck all?

    Wirtz.

Kerkez honourable mention. Albeit it's hard for him to come in and just be on the TAA/AR level.

    How To Win Afcon:

    * Get your players playing in an average league eg France or Holland with the odd Prem star

*Run the bollox off them in training

*Hope the star teams best players are all exhausted when the tournament starts

At 1-0 to Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe were very slight favourites.....13/8 Vs 2/1

    At 1-1......

    Screenshot_20251222_213232.jpg

20 minutes left. Bookies are basically offering 28/1 that Zimbabwe will not score.

Hearts announcing signings for their two weakest positions a week before the window even opens. You know they'll be good, too. Theyre a vicious wee wolverine and we're a demented old moose, matted fur, dangleberries, vacant eyes, mouth foam, hobbling aimlessly.

Celtic's two most expensive summer signings are at AFCON. Two wingers who've amassed two goal contributions for us between them. You can't fail harder than that. Hearts/Bloom signed two wingers for one twentieth as much who have 21 GCs between them. Which I guess puts them at one two hundreth the cost per goal/assist

Slot should instruct this team to only ever go 1-0 or 3-0 up.

    Avoid 2-0.

    EVERY. FUCKING. TIME.

It would be funny seeing a player with a wide open net and deliberately kicking the ball out of play instead of scoring. The fans are in astonishment and the camera pans over to the manager who is applauding.

It would be even funnier to see them go 2-0 up then kick the ball into their own net for 2-1 just to get it out of the way

I'd be ok with that. Do I think they'll do it? Nope. But I'd be ok with it.
