    Its hard to rank toney if you've seen or heard him speak in the last 2 decades. He could slip punches great but still got hit alot at his peak.

    He certainly did, but he fought not only a hell of a lot of fights but for a very large part of his career he did it right in the pocket.

    I think it helped immensely that he was so relaxed in the ring. Many of the shots he was able to move just enough to take a lot of bite out of them.

    Toney had great defence but terrible movement. He got hit a lot coz he was always ready to hit back. I imagine his slurred speech is mostly from his time at heavyweight and his training.
