This is a great fight coming up Saturday! Seems like Ball just fought yesterday. I'm leaning towards Ball here. Figueroa hasn't looked his best since moving to 126. And Ball seems to be really strong and really durable at 126. My guess is Figueroa will try to box Ball but be forced into exchanges. And Ball will tie Brandon up after landing.

 

Exciting match up on paper although truth be told I think Figueroa has gone downhill ever since losing to Fulton in the rematch. He got a gift decision in his last fight and I feel like he’s been in too many wars and taken so much damage. I think Ball might end up walking him down and thrash him.

What a shocker. I like both fighters and the fight itself was as entertaining as expected but wasn’t expecting Figueroa to actually pull off a surprise stoppage. Well done to him for bouncing back and winning another title. Ball needs to start tightening up his defense but he’s still a solid fighter.
