Yeah I guess there isn't a stand out team to compete with Real, Barca. But i still think beyond that the depth is still better than any other league. A club like Spurs can be 16th, 17th in the prem, in managerial crisis and be relevant in europe. I don't think their la liga or bundesliga analogue would be

Bayern look to be the best team in the competition and Arsenal have beaten them. The top 2 Premier League teams from last season have gone through and the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 17th place teams have gone out to sides which finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their own leagues. Seems normal I'd say.

I think the manner of the losses is more significant. The PL is definitely the strongest league in terms of depth but the strongest pl teams are a bit weaker than previous editions imo.

Agreed. On thing that seems consistent is that Real Madrid has been at or near the top and will continue to be regardless of how much oil money is spent elsewhere.

    The leads are weak.

The quality has dropped massively. I think that's fairly obvious.

Oh aye. That's what I'm saying. That's what I've been saying to you. They bounce out. With no confidence, bounce you out on a bad beat. You say the germans are in europe, sure, breaking your door, the time is now. Stuttgart pissing in your face, cocksucker breaking your rice bowl. Roma? Roma don't even care, sitting top of the group not a care in the world. It's the leads. Balikwisha? Tounetki? MVUKU!!! Deadbeats. Give a man like Martin some premium leads he'll close Stuttgart but otherwise what do they even want from his life?

    What do you think?

Why are there big red stripes in the man city tifo....probably laid out by some clueless corporate sponsor. And why has the woman singing the English anthem got an American accent like this is the superbowl. Games gone, clive.

I actually watched Talksport yesterday morning at work while cleaning up. There was a female Spurs fan on. She seemed to really know football but it looked likes just wanted to cry watching that match. From 1-0 on the tears were just welling up. Sad and funny at the same time. By the it was 3-0, she was too pissed off to cry.

I'm looking forward to this summer rebuild at Celtic. We only need a new head coach & coaching team, a director of football, an entire scouting and recruitment department, a new chairman, new CEO & then about 20 new players. All our problems were down to Brendan Rodgers according to Desmond so it should be straightforward.

Looking like a very likely Bayern vs PSG CL final.

Am actually rooting for Bayern this season. Harry Kane gets far too much stick for his lack of trophies (due to having the temerity to show loyalty to shitty Spurs for years). I'd like him to win the big one to shut people up. He's been a great player for ages now, incredibly consistent.

There can't be many guys in football history you'd rather have a random ball in the box drop to than Harry Kane.

Yesterday the sun was out, the green brigade were back, Celtic scored early and there was something resembling good vibes for the first time this season. Any other time Celtic push on, bury the game, score a few more. But this side just hasn't got it in it, we can't dominate any games at spl level. So soon St Mirren were dominating the ball, winning strings of corners and even with the best of will the whole place got nervy again. It's not an effort thing, we're just properly dreadful. Shite, shite players, ostensibly uncoached by a 75 year old operating on vibes. I'm not even mad now it just is what it is...if we somehow win the league Rangers should just commit suicide and turn Ibrox into a vertical cabbage farm

WTF? Leicester City is headed to League One?

From PL champions to League One. That's a rough ten year challenge.

Went right under my "12pm on Sky on Saturday" radar that.

City went from Prem to Ship to L1 but WITHOUT winning the title first.

Leicester are kind of the bitcoin of football. Did the unimaginable and then went back to being shit as Gold kept on being Gold.
