Thats solid advice. Of course he's in over his head. But these guys all think they're Brian Ferguson Del Bosque. Reminds me of Ince or even poor Brian Kidd. Ferguson said they were both full of it and so it proved.

 

Ferguson always seemed quite happy for his seconds or former players to be not too successful coaching outside of united...otherwise it was tolerable if they were deferential and had a losing record against united, the likes of Robson or Bruce.

Re Rosenior, i think the prototype was villas-boas, a precocious football wonk....but at least rosenior had a decent career as a player.

I still think they will be a huge "I've a soft spot for..." club for shitloads of people for a long time due to what they did though. My gut feeling is the same as Irish though, I think they'll somehow sneak it and survive.

 

West Ham have Arsenal in there. That's the joker in the pack. If Arsenal are suddenly back in it by that game (2nd last I think) then who knows. But likewise if Arsenal have "gone" then they might just be there for the taking.

 

It's funny I have to say that West Ham have probably had chronic mismanagement too. They're not wholly innocent in this thing either and they've been pretty consistently shit.
