Off to the Championship you go, Hammers. At least they can hold their heads high that they handled business and won today. What would have been heartbreaking is if Spurs lost, and they also lost. lol

This would have been a great season for Everton had it ended in March. It's been two solid months of dogshit.

Moyes needs to bring in a "how to defend corners" specialist as an assistant. When a guy can hit the post then get another clean shot off the rebound, you're man marking is fucking shit.

I just saw another replay. Keane left his man to head it out but misjudged the ball by five feet.

I think everyone wanted Spurs down. I know a few West Ham fans and they're good eggs, sad to see them go down but I'm also looking forward to playing them next season. We had some cracking games against them the last time they were down here.

Paris, if they show up. Arsenal are not really a great side, worst pl titlists, actually.

I have the same score prediction. Yes, I know PSG is the better side on paper, I just sense an upset. I picked Inter last year, so watch the Frogs prove me wrong again.

Random rant: Recently in the CONCACAF Champions League Liga MX side Toluca absolutely annihilated MLS side LAFC in the second leg to win commandingly on aggregate. MLS is simply no match at all for Liga MX in major tournaments. In the last 27 Concacaf Champions leagues, MLS sides have a grand total of... 2.

When I first started following the sport 5-6 years ago I thought that by time this WC rolled around, MLS could potentially be like a top 6-7 league.

As it stands now, MLS is still nowhere close to Liga MX, let alone some league like the Primeira Liga or the Brasileiro.

Now theres talks of letting MLS sides compete in the Copa Libertadores, SOLELY as a money grab because they want Inter Miami, and specifically you know who, in the Libertadores.

Plot twist: Old man Messi isn't impacting Miami in these competitions. Miami also gets smoked by Mexican sides, just imagine what a fucking Flamengo, Palmeiras, or Boca Juniors would do to them in the Libertadores.

MLS will not be a serious league until theres pro/rel in place. Pro/rel is the only way to toughen up MLS sides, and force tactical adjustments, cause right now the skill level is still subpar, and the defense has to be the worst of any top 20 league.

Its hilarious, because these MLS fanboys honestly think the best MLS sides could compete near the bottom of the Prem.

The truth is -- the very BEST MLS side is like mid-table in the Championship.

I've never met one in person. But being that I'm in the States, I only know a handful people that follow football in general. Almost all of them are Arsenal fans, incidentally.

Theres a shitload of MLS fanboys that have podcasts on YT, and I find them all insufferable.

BTW - there isnt much World Cup buzz in the NY/NJ area at the moment because the Knicks are in the NBA finals for the first time since 99. So thats dominating sporting attention in this part of the US.

On the West Coast where you have a much larger Mexican population, I would imagine WC excitement is higher.

Slot fired. Harsh. Perhaps it will reap dividends. But harsh still. Timing was deliberate, good day for bad news.

I thought so too, the harsh bit. I don't know if it will ultimately prove a smart move, but it feels harsh.
