He might but he had a very poor final.

 

I thought he was right up there as one of the best, if not THE best, when Napoli stormed to the title, then he dropped off a bit, but since going to PSG he's come right back even better than before. I wouldn't argue with anyone saying he's the best, he's a superb player and one of my favourites. I think Kane deserves the Ballon d'Or this season, personally, but I wouldn't be angry if Kvaratshkelia gets it.

 

Kvaratshkelia will be punished for Georgia not playing in the world cup. If Kane scores a hatful and England and they get to say the semi finals, he has a good shout. Yeah you pump enough money into a team and they will reach the top or near given some time. Players play for money of course but some of the big clubs have not just the money, but an allure. No great football talent dreams of playing for Watford one day unless they grew up a supporter. It will take more than 5 years to build something people want to be part of.
