I have a feeling this black Japanese keeper is NOT REALLY called Suzuki. I also have a feeling he's not really a goalkeeper.

    Eh? Lol

Sweden got into a playoff because of how they'd played in a totally different tournament.

Ireland went to the playoffs and lost to the Czechs on penalties.

Sweden got Ukraine and Poland who were kind of distracted

Japan to play Brazil. I'd give Japan a great chance.

Sweden will qualify, probably play Biafra in their next game.

Did they at least play better than Germany today?

Also it's not Germany's fault if Poland was distracted.

Agreed. I would just replace the word great with reasonable.

What do you think about Russell Crowe deciding to coach the US instead of Australia?

Full half to go but i think if the U.S. loses it will do them better than riding a wave of optimism.

What I'm predicting from the US is that we get past Bosnia but then lose to Egypt in the rd of 16.

Tough Way to Lose But agREED...

Being Constantly Patted On the Back and Told Their Shit DOESN'T Stink Was Creating a FALSE Sense of Security...A Few Bodies Will Fall OFF the USMNT Bandwagon But That Could Ultimately REFOCUS the Squad On What's Important...

We sat most of our starters. No one has hopped off the bandwagon -- yet. But they will when we inevitably dont get the results that delusional US soccer fans are expecting.

All this blind "Ya gotta believe" bullshit coming from them. Yeah, belief only gets you so far...

Theres too big of a talent/skill gap between the US and the elite countries to pull off anything big.

Years ago on the Colbert Reports they had a character on portraying the "German Ambassador to the U.N." Hans Beinholtz.

Jurgen Klinsmann was coaching the U.S. at the time and he made some kind of comment about how the team is improving but winning the world cup at that stage was not very realistic. Of course a lot of rah rah Americans weren't happy about that. So Hans says "so you are saying he should lie to them and say they are better than he knows them to be? NEIN! To love somebody is to confront them with their own worthlessness"
