Youre showing your casual colors. Colombia arent clowns at all. They already played Argentina tough as Hell in the Copa America final 2 years ago.

Switzerland minus Manzambi are a tough watch. Colombia are defensively sound but hard to imagine any team with a walking pace James Rodriguez going that much further.

Crap game, no end product for either team. Just go to penalties.

That was a tedious watch. At least some drama coming up with the shootout. Hopefully.

I expect the 4 underdogs to put up a good fight in the quarters, but we're likely headed to the semis most expected: France v Spain and Argentina v England.

Argentina naturally will be favored over Switzerland but it's going to be far from easy the they've been playing.

I figured that there would be at least one South American side there but chose Brazil over Argentina as they don't rely so heavily on one (aging but still great) player.

So far they've managed but it's been an uphill battle.

Its pretty incredible that even though weve been hearing for decades that the world is catching up to them, its still pretty much the same group of nations that still dominates

Over here our commentary were screaming about"Swiss precision" ( as in Swiss clocks, so clever)..... If Columbia had won I wonder what he'd have said. I mean the one thing they're famous for probably can't be mentioned on TV for fun.

Euros look like they have a pretty good chance to land another tournament on the road.

Spain won in South Africa in 2010, Brazil won in Japan in 2002 and in Sweden 1953, Germany won in Brazil in 2014.

Argentina/Brazil won in Mexico in 86/70 respectively.

So Euros have catching up to do when it comes to winning away but I reckon they'll never get a better chance than here.

Well they kind of are but gaining ground and winning the whole thing is another story. Technically all you need is one very good team to do it. (it also helps if a few things go you way on the trip there)

Thing is there are a lot games to play before you do. So even if an an "outsider" happens win, it doesn't mean they've caught up in terms of being a continuing top team. The only two countries that did it back to back accomplished it ages ago and the number of participants was a lot smaller.

They could use coffee but i guess it doesn't work as well. Talk about how "alert" they're playing or something.

Landon Donovan basically accused Pulisic of being a mental midget who quit on the team vs Belgium. I would agree.

    Football wise? England, France.

Politically: Argentina have the best chance.

That's brutal. Even if I fully believed it not something I'd say publicly. It's not like he's just a regular guy on some "sports dudes" show.

    Say it in private
