I'd pick Gonzalez. Slightly less skilled than Nazarov but I think he had more substance and would wear Nazarov down. I'd consider Gonzalez the 4th best lightweight of the 90s behind Whitaker, Shane, and Oscar. Meaning I consider him better than Nazarov and Johnston.

No one "beat the shit" outta Gonzalez until Tszyu did it at 140 and MAG was faded. Nazarov was not on Tszyu's level. He's actually become a bit overrated.
Nazarov and tszyu split a pair of fights I never saw the hype to gonzalez. It was always puzzling to me how ppl ranked him highly
