It's true though. Pulisic is a little mentally soft upper-middle class kid who happens to have good footballing talent.

I'm not a huge Donovan fan, but what's he supposed to say about Pulisic? Lie about the situation, pat him on the ass, and tell him that its absolutely fine that he's supposed to be the best American footballer of all time and yet was nonexistent in our biggest game ever?

I'm not expecting Pulisic to be R9 or Maradona, but he should be expected to be a fuck of a lot better than he was against Belgium. It's not like he's devoid of any talent.

Unfortunately, even without FIFA intervention Egypt would have bottled it. Other than Morocco, I dont think African sides are used to how quickly and brutally elite European and South American sides can make you pay for lapses.

Pulisic has always been inconsistent, his best year was 2025 but his recent club form has been poor. Couldn't keep a place in the Chelsea squad. It's almost unfair to blame him for not performing the other night, that's just what he is.

Tomorrow is arguably the best game of the quarters. Morocco have, I reckon, the second best chance of scoring an upset of the four underdogs. Norway have the best chance, but I think England will pull through in a very exciting game. I also expect France to pull through, but it'll be rough.

Belgium and Switzerland? They'll be competitive, but I dont see how they win. Argentina has too much firepower for the Swiss (Colombia arent good at finishing) and Spain is too balanced for Belgium.

 

FIFA without any question tried to fuck them. But its apparent they bottled because its not like they lost their composure after the refs fucked them. They went on to still go up 2-0 anyway.

They just gave Argentina juussstttt enough daylight to make something happen, and an inch of daylight is all Argentina needs.

 

If there's no upsets, and we get Argentina-England, is it safe to say that's the biggest game for England since the 66 final? I'd have to imagine so. I'd also imagine yall badly want revenge on them for Hand of God.

England-Norway is gonna be really entertaining. I see both sides going for it.

 

I'm not sure really. I hope so of course. Typically the deeper you go into a WC the closer the games get. Most guys are afraid to make a mistake and so it turns very defensive.

For me England is an easy pick as they simply have more weapons. Haaland will obviously be watched closely from the opening whistle. If they can somehow nullify him and even if Norway can do the same with Kane it's still advantage England.

 

I fully expect England to win it. But I reckon there will be goals between them.

 

It's likely somebody is telling porkies here but we'll find out in due course.
