I remember years ago Spain were one of those sides neutrals loved watching because they games were often very entertaining.

Now they are much much better but just not as fun to watch because so often the other side simply doesn't get a lot of chances to do anything.

You would never know from watching today that France is an offensive power house. It's not a knock against Spain, just the way it is.

 

Deserved win for Spain. I think they beat either England or VARgentina.

 

I thought Spain had a good chance to win but I never thought they could nullify France's attacking line like that. Fantastic performance.

If England (fingers crossed) manage to make the final, not sure how we can beat this side outside of a smash and grab kind of win.

I think England have a better chance of getting something off a set piece than France did.

 

Even though I think England are better i kind of want to see Argentina as otherwise it's just a repeat of the Euro final. It's more interesting with a Euro vs South American side.

That said i just hope for a more entertaining game than today either way.

 

What a washout. French didn't seem to have a game plan. I don't blame Mbappe although he was caught offside far too often. At least he showed some urgency. I expect a rerun of the 2010 final whoever Spain play and that was a lousy world cup.
