    I knew he was still alive but had health issues and people were squabbling over his late-life care etc.

    When normies and casuals talk bullshit and need a visual image to help them understand just how puny they are and how differently-built some boxers are I always show them this photo, it silences them immediately:-

    Another story of Chuvalo that helped form my mind as a kid about the nature of the sport of boxing is Chuvalo vs Ali.

    Chuvalo had his face kicked in and went home afterwards.

    Ali went to hospital with internal bleeding from the bodypunching.

    That taught me to read fights differently.


    I think Chuvalo would have been a great 200lb fighter today.
