It's nearly May 31st and at this point it's highly unlikely Mosley is going to find a replacement opponent for his PPV slot. Seeing as how they dropped Judah completely from any future fight dates, and Judah being set up nicely with a better fight (belt on the line) I'd say team Mosley screwed up nicely. Not only do they get to watch Judah fight for a title while Mosley plays the waiting game, but suppose Judah pulls off the miracle win and gets the title, then he'll have more leverage in negotiations and might not be too willing to even fight Mosley after the words Jin said about him. Hindsight is always 50/50 but maybe team Mosley should have looked into securing a replacement before they just outright boycotted Judah from any future fights with Shane. Now Judah's in a better situation and Shane is just sitting around getting older and me, I'm not happy.
I don't think titles are that important to Mosley at this time. I bet he prefers waiting until October to fight Mayorga.
I don't know, but that's who they're interested in. They might just invent a weight limit for that fight.
Don't Blame "Team Mosley", Blame JIN MOSLEY... Cause She's THE ONLY 1 REED has Actually Read or Heard DISSING Zab, Since the Fight was Cancelled... Shane DOESN'T Have Much Time Left to Fight, yet he's ALLOWING his Husband to Burn what Little Bridges he has Left to Explore...Because JIN is Difficult to Work w/More & MORE Fighters R just Gonna BYPASS a Fight w/Shane... He NEEDS to Kick that Bitch OUT of his Boxing Affairs & Send her Back Home to Take Care of the Kids...Where She BELONGS... REED
The Only POSITIVE Thing about Mosley-Mayorga is the Likelihood of Mayorga Talking Shit about Jin... REED::
If that happens at least we'll get some shit talking back at Mayorga because Jin ain't gonna let it slide. Anyway I wonder if Mayorga can even get down to 154 these days. To be honest I don't really see him as a realistic fight option for Shane, especially at 147. So what does that really leave Shane with now?
:: Jesus, could you imagine. I've never really seen Mosley rattled but he could just be the one to do it. I'd root like hell for Shane to beat the Latin out of him though.
If Mayorga CAN Get Down to 147 he WOULDN'T have Enough Left to B Competitive...& Like U Said, Even 154 is Wishy Washy... That Leaves Shane w/a LOW Risk HIGH Reward Option...The Quintana-Williams II Winner, Perhaps Andre Berto or Somebody Like that... REED:dunno:
Team Mosley didn't blow anything. The Zab fight/card was hardly PPV worthy to begin with, and was cancelled the moment Zab forgot that shower doors are meant to open, not crash through. Shane can fight whomever he wants. HBO and Golden Boy assured him that a date will be made available in the fall. Not sure how that qualifies as blowing anything, or burning bridges. Also, the Zab-Clottey fight isn't guaranteed. It's offered. Zab still has to accept turns, which will be for a hell of a lot less than he would've made for the Shane fight. Many a welterweight's already looked the other way when a Clottey fight has been offered, the primary reason being not enough money on the table. When Zab accepts, then I'll consider the possibility that he's better off than Shane. Of course, he'd still have to WIN the fight.
agree if anything shane is at a place in his career where he doesn't have to chase belts to get fights he can easily align himself with the winners of quintana/williams or cotto/margarito and no one would say anything you cant say the same for Zab in fact he got lucky he was even offered the Clottey fight. Let's hope he doesnt fuck that up as well shower door my ass
Shane shouldn't waste his time with Cintron anymore than he should with Judah. To be honest a Zab Cintron fight is a more competitive fight and in my eyes is a pick em.
why thank you sir. I have a core group who respond at least once a week, and keep promising them that I'd one day publish their notes. The future mailbag will run every Wednesday, to accompany my weekly blog.
Please do. I don't want to seem like my shit is self-congratulatory every week. The next piece of hate mail I get will be posted, just to keep things balanced.
Like it or Not, Zab's STILL a "Player" N the Game...He ALWAYS Seems to B Negotiating w/OR Actually FIGHTING Somebody Meaningful... REED
