Andrade is Bute's mandatory and this fight's supposed to be coming up later this.

Could be a really entertaining fight and a good gauge for Bute given the kind of style Andrade has.

I like this matchup a lot. Bute's a good fighter but i still have my reservations about him. This fight should tell us a lot about his future.

    Solid win for either guy.

    I'd pick Andrade.

I honestly don't rate Bute that highly and Bute is one of those champions who should Andrade be looking to beat if he ever wants to elevate himself to a level beyond 'the tough fight champions take to improve their resume'.

Should be an interesting one, either way.

Bute is infinitely more skilled than Andrade. Easy win for Lucian.

I wouldn't be so confident about that. The one thing i do like about Bute, however is that although he's fairly heavy handed, he's not in love with his power. He can land big shots without going straight into knockout mode and forgetting everything else.

I'm still not sold on his ability to withstand pressure though. He's been mostly bigger and more powerful than his opponents. Therefore he's able to dictacte the pace in most fights.

I want to see what happens when Andrade puts on some offensive pressure.

Good point....it's just that Librado seems so fucking one dimensional.

Well, he is. But I also think Bute is, as well. I'm interested to see how he holds up over the 12, with Andrade pressing the entire fight. Not sure Lucian can get it done.

He didn't slow down Berrio until really late and Berrio is completely chinless.

I agree. I don´t think he´ll be able to keep Andrade off him for 12 rounds. Kessler just made it look easy.

I think Bute will be able to simulate some of the success Kessler did against Andrade. But no, he won't be able to make it look that easy and surgeon like.

Bute will beat him. Andrade is no better than Sakio Bika...in fact, Bika is better.

Andrade is going to take one hell of a beating, but get his ears boxed off. This is Kessler/Andrade all over. Lou is a Vol. puncher w/ the ring generalship of DLH. I use to think a power puncher had a chance but you see what he did to Berrio. :mj:HEE HEE!

Mikkel Kessler is approximately thirteen times better than Lucian Bute... :nono:

Andrade is a tough SOB with a hell of a punch. Limited, sure, but tough to beat unless you are a bit handy yourself. If Lucian wins, it will be an excellent win for him...

    No he isn't.

Bika is as tough as Andrade but punches about half as hard...

Listen...we saw Bika against Calzaghe. Bute handled Bika. We saw Andrade vs Kessler.......no reason to think the outcome of the Bute-Andrade fight will be any different than Andrade-Kessler or Bika-Bute.

    12 rounds target practice.

    For Bute.

Calzaghe stunk against Bika: like he always does when he's fighting guys he's expected to beat easily. If Joe had considered Bika anything worth a light, he'd have beaten the shit out of him.

Bute has no such gears. He has to fight to his maximum in fights against the likes of Sakio in order to retain his title.

Besides, I'd pick Andrade to beat Bika. Andrade is a classic 'gatekeeper' kind of fighter. The best fighters will always pick him apart but he'll beat the pretenders and hammer the sludge. He's limited as hell, but he does what he does very effectively most of the time.

Bute is good, but he is not in the same league as Calzaghe or Kessler IMO. I'd say confidently that he is at least one level below, which makes Bute-Andrade is a pretty even fight IMO. Whichever wins can consider himself to have had a very good nights work.

Andrade is no big puncher. No idea what you're looking at, MTF.
