REED is Pretty Excited for this Matchup & Luckily it's FREE on Versus!!!...

REED's Only Seen Highlights of Faber, but he Seems to Have a VERY Energetic Style of Fighting...Plus he has the Surfer/Skateboarder Look & Could Become a Crossover MMA STAR...

Perhaps NO Fighter has Been More APTLY Named than Jens "Little Evil" Pulver:lol:...He LOOKS like 1 of those SCRAPPY Little Guys who'd Challenge the ENTIRE High School Football Team to a Fight...Reminds REED of the Character "Tanner" from the Flick "The Bad News Bears"...SMALLEST Dude on the Team, but had the BIGGEST Heart by a MILE...

    Should B an EXCELLENT Fight...

Anyways, REED WANTS Faber to Win Cause he's More "Mainstream" Potentially...REED Started this Thread to Get some INSIGHT on Faber & Guage this Matchup from Some of the More Knowledgeable Cats...

Faber said he doesn't need to watch film on Pulver, so I'm hoping that he gets laid out big time.

I go with Faber. The dude is an absolute beast. He is about as well rounded as they come, and has the fighters spirit.

Pulver is tuf as hell as well, and is one of the best strikers in the sport. But I think he may be declining a bit.

I like both fighters and think this will be an awesome fight that could go either way, but I'm gonna go with Pulver. He's undefeated at 145, and I think he'll stay that way.

Pulver has fought a "who's who" of MMA fighters. PLUS, he is fighting a guy in Faber that he is bigger than.

Pulver will PULVERIZE Faber.......and that will be that.

No need for cross promotion. The UFC owns WEC. No need for Penn-Faber either. I imagine Faber could tell you why as he did train with Penn before. I hate BJ Penn but he would absolutely destroy Faber.

I like Faber in this one based strictly on athletic ability and toughness. Pulver is a scrappy mother at 145 but I just think Faber brings more overall game to the table.

It should be wildly entertaining because neither guy is going away quickly and both have that underlying mean streak that makes for bloody brawls.

Faber is too much of a surfer goon.

I pick Pulver, TKO round 2, strikes.

Do you know the origin of the name REED?

Also, how good is Tyson Griffin? I've never seen him fight, other than a crappy video of him bashing Faber.

Tyson Griffin is a great fighter. He's never in a dull fight, and he's deserving of a title shot, or at the very least, a rematch with Frankie Edgar, which was one of the best fights of 2007.

Probably, but it's hard to say. The thing is, he's fought so many fights above 145, and those are the ones he's looked bad in. He's something like 10-0 at 145, so well see.

The young up and comer against the seasoned veteran. All the makings of a great fight.

Only seen highlights of Faber? His fights are on Versus every other hour.

He goes out and sets a blistering pace and keeps it up until the fight is over whether it's a stoppage or goes the distance. His trainer says he never takes time off. He doesn't have a fighting weight. He's always in the same shape 24/7, 365. Pulver is 32 (might be 33 by now, was 32 when he annilhilated Swanson.) He's had many fights above 145 and has fought everybody of note. He's known for his striking/boxing ability but he defintely can mix it up on the ground. In Faber's fight interview, he says he's relying on Pulver weakening himself by coming up and down in weight.

I'm going to call the upset here and say Pulver loses the first round big time, then comes back and KO's Faber. Faber is pretty cocky but every time I've seen him fight his opponents just aren't on his level. I think Pulver defintely is.

    Pulver KO2

What time does the main event start? A similar time to yesterday's?

It's 6 hours later than you here, and I have to get up early tomorrow, so I'm going to try and sleep early, then set the alarm for like half an hour before the fight.
