Not all of them, dude. Many of those elbows were decent, but it's true the punches were crap. Still, the ref let him take 50 shots to the head and did nothing.

 

That ear was nasty,one more punch or two and I think it would of fell off

 

I'm not saying it was a good stoppage, I'm just saying I understand why the ref stopped it.

He was done. The stoppage was premature but Slice was going to KO him for sure.

Kimbo went life and death with James Thompson. That's all that really needs to be said about him. :atu:

 

I would have thought Kimbo would have KO'd him in the first two rounds, but James kept wobbling along. That ear probably distracted Kimbo. ::

 

I'm not so sure. They both looked pretty done. Did you see Kimbo after the second round? He looked fucked.

Kimbo isn't as good as I thought.

The fight looked similar to how I thought, only I thought kimbo would be winning it, and KO big James in the second.

Kimbo doesn't punch as hard as people thought either, James has an absolute china chin.

 

Kimbo hits hard, but he gassed early, and by the time he landed solid shots, they didn't have as much stength behind them.

i also agree with him being gassed taking steam out of his punches but that can't happen so early he needs to be able to fight at least two full power rounds, since he won't be able to KO anybody in one.

 

Britney Spears is popular, too doesn't mean she makes good music.

I expect him to bash Thompson up like the bum he is. brett Rogers isn't overflowing with experience either and he beat Thompson 100 times easier than Kimbo.

 

I wanna see Tyson fight Thompson just to see him bite that ear off.

 

Yeah that's true. Rogers would destroy Kimbo too.

 

So Rogers is further along than Slice,big deal.Its back to the gym for Slice......with his six figure check::

 

Kimbo getting pounded on at the end of the 2nd round was his own doing. He tried to get the guy in a guillotine and took him down even though he was tee-ing off on him standing up.

If he had just kept it standing up he probably would KOed him. Rookie mistake, but he'll learn from it - I think he was trying too hard to prove that he learned some moves on the ground and he paid for it.

Up until that point, I was actually somewhat impressed with Kimbo's ground game. He had ridiculous strength to bail him out when he was in trouble.

I don't know how you can say his punching is overrated sure he doesn't have Tyson-esque explosiveness, but he basically stunned Thompson with every punch that landed.

 

The problem with the stoppage was that it actually came right after Thompson threw a punch of his own. Thompson looked ready to go after every punch he took, but he was always looking to grab Kimbo and take him to the ground. The end of the fight was no different except for that fucking earish looking thing that started bleeding.

But my problem with this fight goes back to the 2nd round. Thompson had Kimbo pinned against the cage landing elbows and punches yet the ref kept saying "You guys need to work or I'm going to stand you up"

WTF????? I would have sworn that throwing punches was ACTUALLY working.

Did anyone else think Kimbo tapped out in the first round when he was in that choke hold?

It's the dude from Rob & Big (reality show on MTV). If you couldn't guess, he's big and black

 

At first I thought he had tapped out but supposedly he said he was ok. I don't get all the hate for Kimbo, Thompson is a very proven opponent who, if you can't take out early, has been pretty much hell to anyone he fought, has beaten guy's like Yoshida and Frye and gave a war he was on the way of winning before getting hit on the china chin to Fujita. He's a very physical guy who exhaust his opponent with his strenght. The stoppage was shit but I have to say I thought ( and I still think it may have ) his ear pulled a Sebastian Lujan, if it did, no one can complain about the stoppage. Thompson got to fix this cauliflower ear, it's one of the worst I have ever seen and looks fucking gross. Nonethelles, I feel Kimbo got halfway exposed tonight, it seemed his punches lost a lot of gas really early, but he did showed immense strenght vs a huge guy known for his strenght.

Brett Rogers had about 4 time the experience Kimbo had when he fought Thompson, who is far from a bum.

I thought she looked like shit, I pay no interest in woman fighting but if that's 2 of the best it has to offer :shit::shit::shit:The fight was fairly entertaining if you don't mind woman figting but the sill level was laughable, and people whine on Kimbo, he's got 10 times the skill Gina has

 

I haven't see many female fighters, I don't like chick fights, but most of them are a lot worse than her.

 

Call me sexist or whatever, but I don't think women should be in there fighting
