For the Diaz fight, it's acceptable, for anyone else, he needs to step it up in quality.

Sparring partner quality is a completely separate entity from pro-fighter quality, so I don't really agree with your statement at all.

I know that Quinonez has a solid gym rep. Can say nothing for the other guys.

Christopher Rizo was a top U.S amateur featherweight only a few years ago and is undefeated as a pro.

So you think that would be an okay line up if he was fighting JMM?

That's actually a solid lineup of sparring partners, Joe. For the most part, guys spar amateurs to prepare for their fight.

Yeah but with his type of pay, he can afford a little better quality IMO. I mean PBF uses guys like chop chop and the Peterson brothers.

What is better quality? I just told you that good pro's don't always translate to good sparring. Cissie Salif is one of the highest paid sparring partners around. He's basically a pro and flies all over the world to spar, because he is fucking good at it. Would you have considered him 'quality'?

Good sparring doesn't mean a good fight either. Some people get sparring work because they are human punching bags. Would that strategy work well for someone preparing to fight an elusive fighter?

I saw Charles Shufford sparring in Vegas and his sparring partner was a punching bag that was gassing out.and making Charles look like Ali. Charles' trainer asked Charles if he wanted to keep using him and he said yeah, he gives me good work.

My buddy was sparring with Diego Corrales in his last training camp for Clottey. My buddy was giving him a very hard time and was looking good against Diego. Another sparring partner was sloppy and getting tore up by Diego. 3 weeks into the camp, they sent my buddy home and kept the other guy.

it would be a terrible line up, jabba. marquez isn't a lefty.
