As a Relatively NEW Fan to MMA, Rogan Kinda Rubs REED the WRONG Way as Well... FREQUENTLY, Rogan Speaks OVER the Head of an MMA Newbie like REED & he Seems to Do the Shit INTENTIONALLY...Almost like he's an MMA ELITIST who Doesn't Want to Bother w/Catering his Style to Newer Fans who R UNaware of the Terminology... Frank Mir is the Complete OPPOSITE...He Actually GETS IT, as a Commentator...He EXPLAINS the Different Moves, HOW & WHY they Hurt, Everything...Frank Shamrock Isn't Bad Either, but Mir is REED's Favorite MMA Announcer by a MILE... It's Not that Rogan is "Bad", but he Seems to NOT Give a Shit that a Large % of his Audience is OBLIVIOUS to what he's Saying...He's MORE Concerned w/Being the Cool, Elitist, Hardcore MMA Guy... REED:kidcool:
Speaking of the Actual Show, REED Saw Most of those Fights Already, but it was Still COOL REwatching them... Good Shit... REED:kidcool:
Frank Mir is great, you just know he will be around mma for a long time after his career as a fighter is over. he will be mma's Charles Barkley or John Madden. :kidcool:
Mike Goldberg is much more annoying than Joe Rogan, at least Rogan knows what he is talking about half the time.
The problem with Rogan is that he knows so much. He just a fan with a microphone. The guy just really loves watching this shit. Sometimes he just gets so excited he cant help himself.
He can be such a fucking homer though. Rewatching the Frankie Edgar/Tyson Griffin fight, you would think he had money riding on Griffin. That fight was fairly easy to score, yet you would think Griffin was dominating by the way Rogan went on about every little thing Tyson did. He gets so mad at fans for booing, yet he is the one always saying the reason fans tune into the UFC is for the excitement. I get tired of his stupid ass. I agree with Reed, Mir is the best in MMA at commentating.:kidcool:
I appreciate Rogan's love of MMA because it seems to be genuine. And the guy knows alot about what he's talking about. He is just such a fucking tool.
I concur. Mir was a little tough to listen to early on because he just wasn't great with a mic. He would say "you know" about 200 times a fight. Now he has really gotten comfortable and does a great job. He is far better than Rogan or Shamrock at talking fans through what is happening on the ground.
this is exactly why i thought the elite xc did a great job on CBS by having that little tutorial with frank shamrock
