Who wins this fight and why? Both have entered the sport as "jokes". Kimbo has evolved into quite a good fighter though. I think Kimbo slices Bob to peaces. Bob has absolutely no skills.
Kimbo was dropped in his street fights but i agree he's definitely tougher than Sapp. He should win this.
I'd expect the biggest Kimbo nuthugger on the board to say something like this. Give it a rest bro, I know you watch a lot of MMA and you cannot think Kimbo is "the goods" You know what he is. Stop kidding yourself.
Anybody that puts 100% in what there doing is not a joke.If I compared Kimbo to *Z* who would come out the joke then? He's got enough money to buy your family.
Why would you give a fuck how much any fighter makes? Like that makes him a better fighter. Get the fuck out of here with that shit. You're a fucking fan boy and nothing more and I thought you were an actual fan of the sport, not a fighters paycheck.
Z i have to disagree with you about Kimbo being joke. He is green, but he means business. His training is ridiculous. His dedication is strong. He has done quite well for himself. I think at anytime he beats Tank Abbot and Abbot wasnt a joke. Can you imagine if Kimbo came in earlier than he did?
I really believe that Kimbo would stretch Sapp.. Kimbo is a legit bad ass.. I don't really get the hate that the guy gets! He is new to the game.. he only had a couple fights.. people hate on him cuz he gets hyped!! WTF!!?? that is the nature of things.. the dude is known already, he comes and of course people are interested!! and no one in the game should complain cuz bottom line.. if more people watch.. everyone makes more money! Kimbo is not like some bum coming in.. he is a real tough guy IMO and if he learns some he will REALLY be good! as it is it's impressive that he is whupping the guys he has whupped already! I think Bas is teaching him daily and from what I've read Bas really likes him and says Kimbo is a GREAT student!
Anyone that thinks anyone that gets into the cage or boxing ring is a joke doesn't know much about combat sports. I train at a gym. We have several pro MMA fighters and boxers. Most will never be on a "world class" level, but believe me when I say none are "jokes". My good friend Santos Pakau fought Paul Williams before Paul fought Margarito. Paul tko'd him in the 7th I believe. Santos is one bad mofo. It just goes to show you how good Paul Williams is. Another guy in the gym lost to Chris Lieben by a split decision. Chris Lieben will never hold a belt, but he ain't no "joke" either. Nothing irritates me more on these boards than when posters call fighters/boxers bums, jokes, etc. Lace em up and step into the fire.
Like Jarhead said.. these fighters are not "Jokes" ! Kimbo as far as I know has no "trained" background.. but he came into MMA and is doing well.. why would people expect him to fight the champs and all yet? that's crazy! that shows a lack of realizing just how good the best are would you expect a tough guy in your neighborhood to do well in a legit MMA fight? I think most "tough guys" you see fighting on the street around the neighborhood would get stretched by Tank, or this last guy Kimbo fought so yes.. IMO it is impressive
thank you! :bears: I have workout with some boxers who were pro's and fought on TV but never were champs.. some of these guys might just look like average fighters or you'd see them get beat and think they are no good.. but in the gym they'd be MONSTERS
Tank Abott was never a good MMA fighter. He's only a "legand" because he's been around since the early UFC days. He was never a top fighter, ever. They didn't match him up with Kimbo that early in his career for no reason, it was a calculated move. Shaw is a boxing promoter, he's bringing Kimbo up in boxing fashion. Matching him with cans and way past their prime fighters. Maybe calling him a joke is a bit harsh, I'm sure he works hard and everything but I will never admit that he's any good unless he proves it by fighting a live body. From what I've seen, it's going to be a long time before they match him with anyone with a pulse.
He's not more skilled than Kimbo. The only advantage he has over anyone is brute strength but then he's gassed after the first round. Kimbo would pick his slow ass apart standing.
Z, when a boxer starts out.. you do the same thing.. and that's a good thing! let them learn the game.. gain skills and confidence think of any top fighter.. you dont throw them to the best after 2 or 3 fights.. you build up and it makes them better in the end I think they are doing it just right with Kimbo.. in fact, I think they should match him with 3 or four more figths.. slowing, slightly increasing the level.. not too fast..
Kimbo doesn't have the time for the slow road at 34-35 or however old he is. He's no spring chicken! He's already old by MMA standards.
