Props to Goldie for wanting to fight Cotto in his last fight, but Miguel will beat the queer outta Oscar's voice!

Oscar better pray that Tony pulls the upset, cause he'd have a better shot at beating Margarita than Cotto.

delahoya aint fighting cotto. that's an ass whipping he's not interested in taking.

arum won't just take a flat fee to let cotto fight ANYone. he'll demand to be a co-promoter. that cuts into golden boys profits by 10s of millions.

I dont know but all the conjecture with it is giving me an erection because this is what happens... just say you were locked in an isolated concrete prison cell with Illuminati, the cell contains 1 rubber ball,.. if locked in that cell for a few months, that rubber ball will become the centre of attention, and eventually the centre of your universe, with enough time passing, it's guaranteed that eventually you or Illuminati will attempt to murder one another for sole custody of this toy. Yes this is rhetorical,..just beware of the traps my son :nono:.

what a lazy cunt. He'd rather get boozed up and dress like Paris Hilton for 6 months than give himself the best chance possible to win his final fight. Looking forward to him finally retiring.

Schaefer said the already-signed fight between Hatton and titleholder Paulie Malignaggi would go forward. There had been a brief discussion of Hatton paying Malignaggi to step aside to take a fight with De La Hoya in September, but Hatton shot it down, saying he wouldn't be ready after a grueling decision victory against Juan Lazcano on May 24.

Now, Hatton-Malignaggi will fight on HBO's "World Championship Boxing" either Nov. 15 in New York or Las Vegas, or on Nov. 22 in Las Vegas, Schaefer said.

Other bouts Schaefer unveiled exclusively to ESPN.com:

    • Former lightweight titleholder Juan Diaz will face Australia's Michael Katsidis in a battle of brawlers on HBO's "Boxing After Dark" at the Toyota Center in Diaz's hometown of Houston on Sept. 6.

With both coming off losses, it's something of a must-win fight for each. Diaz lost his belts to Nate Campbell on March 8. Katsidis was stopped in the 10th round in a challenge to Ring magazine champion Joel Casamayor on March 22.

Schaefer said the undercard could include junior lightweight titleholder Edwin Valero, who defended his belt Thursday in Japan. Although Valero had been medically banned in the U.S. for the past few years because of an old head injury, he was licensed in Texas a few months ago. Another possibility for the undercard is Houston's Rocky Juarez, a former junior lightweight title challenger and 2000 U.S. Olympic silver medalist.

    • On Sept. 13 (HBO PPV) at Las Vegas' MGM Grand, Casamayor will defend the Ring lightweight championship against former junior lightweight champ Juan Manuel Marquez.

"We will put together a very solid card which will pay tribute to the Mexican Independence Day weekend," Schaefer said.
He added that fighters such as featherweight titleholder Chris John, former junior lightweight titlist Jorge Barrios and ex-lightweight beltholder Jesus Chavez could be on the card.

"We'll put together a dynamic card," he said.

    • Shane Mosley, the former three-division champion, will return Oct. 11 on HBO PPV from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Schaefer and Tournament of Contenders promoter Jeff Wald are working to finalize a fight between Mosley and newly crowned junior middleweight titleholder Sergio Mora.

Mora, the winner of the first season of "The Contender" reality series, became the first graduate of the series to go on to win a title when he upset Vernon Forrest last Saturday. There was rematch language in the Mora-Forrest contract, which could impede the bout. So too could Mora's mandatory obligation to fight Sergio Martinez.

But if it happens, it would be big for Los Angeles, where both fighters are from. It would also mean Mosley returning to the junior middleweight division. He hasn't fought in the 154-pound division since back-to-back TKO wins against Fernando Vargas in 2006.

    • Cruiserweight champion David Haye of England, who recently signed with Golden Boy, will officially move up to heavyweight and fight a "top-10 ranked opponent," according to Schaefer, on Nov. 29 at London's O2 Arena.

As much as i like this fight i hate that one fighter will end up with 2 straight loses. Whoever loses will still deserve to fight on HBO because loses mean nothing when you are fighting the right opponents.

Yup- there is no stigma in losing to other top fighters.

A LOT of other fighters would have plenty more 'L's on their record if they were not padding out their resume with journeymen/scrubs/never were's/has beens.

Oh yeah, and fuck the Golden Tranny. He is, in boxing terms, now a complete irrelevance- a fighting circus act coming to a TV near you (but only if you pay muchos green for the 'privilege') :shit:

I wouldn't say he's irrelevent. The negativity comes from his name exceeding his boxing relevence, but he's still a ranked junior middleweight...but then I don't think it's a very strong weight class and he's not even really fighting in it.

:stir: ,.. when you lose to something like Baldomir,..consecutive superfights should not be warranted against the very elite on ppv.
