It makes him a BELT HOLDER, but he was never the #1 undisputed fighter in his division EVER like Pacquiao was at 126 and 130. When I first saw QueerQuez fight Jupiter, I thought he might knock out Freddie Norwood, and Naseem Haveeb, but he didn't because he choked against Norwood. You simply don't know much about boxing.

Well you should have said that in the first post. Now Maverick is going to follow me around this thread all week trying to suck my dick and talk about how "racist" my girlfriend is. :notallthere:

After the 2004 Olympics, I thought that Fraudley Harrison would pick up a bauble of some kind.

Turns out he wasn't even good enough to do that...

Yeah, my bad. I've been in the pub watching the footy, so I'm a lil' worse for wear...

My point remains, though. In possibly the worst HW era of all time, the Olympic champion managed to show that he was completely devoid of heart. I never imagined he'd be some kind of Ali et al, but I thought he'd win something or other.

Turns out he cant even beat Sprott...

It was pretty much self-explanatory. How is it that you were the only person in this thread that couldn't figure it out is beyond me. Champ/Contender being either a title holder or contending. If Gatti meant to say champion of the division well then he would have clearly wrote that. Relax I'll leave Jenny alone. She was kinda cute in those pics you posted before. Is she into blacks guys? oops nevermind.

I did. I said I thought he might beat Freddie Norwood, and then eventually Haveeb, but he never did. He got schooled by Freddie Norwood then went on a bum fighting hunt for 4 years.

Gatti didn't make his question clear cut, which is why I gave my answer.

p.s - Jenn is into me, that's it.

Once upon a time, I believed Jo-El Scott would one day become heavyweight champion.

Not sure if Elvir Muriqi classifies as crap (and there's still hope for a career revival), but I thought highly of him even as an amateur, only for Teddy Atlas to come along and fuck up his career.

Nah. It's more of a matter of Guinn not being all that good. The heavyweight divison has been mediocre at best for quite a while.

hasim rahman after he beat lewis. i'd figure he'd clock lewis in the rematch and then go on to have some decent wins.

Jo-El Scott is a good choice...but those rape convictions have a way of derailing careers.

I don't know if he was crap, but I thought Augie Sanchez would have a better career.

I think if the wording was different to encompass contenders you thought would be champions or champions you thought would be great it be a much larger discussion.

Jeremy Williams. When he was first coming up, he looked like a killer against the usual suspects. He was trained by Kevin Rooney and had wicked handspeed and power. He just didn't have that chin.

Was I big on Brock? I know I thought Guinn was the goods, but Brock? Honestly, I don't remember that.
