No. IRONMAN is better, but this one is better than the previous film and the two Fantastic Four films combined.

The Happening: Christ why did I waste my time on this one? A movie like this had the potential to be very good, instead Shamaylan(sp?) just made it plain fuckin stupid! Just full of bad acting, plot holes, and corny attemps at humor. Shamaylan is either shot, or just doesnt care anymore. 3/10.

    The Thing

    8/10

Kurt Russell is the fucking man and such an underrated actor!! But have waited until finally now to see this flick. It's a flick that never seemed to be on any channel through the years!!

Great flick, and great acting by eveyone. The "Thing" itself was some fucking freaky looking shit!!

    Kingdom Of Heaven (Director's Cut)

    6/10

Better than the theatrical release. Movie is similar to "The Messenger" with Mila Jovovich. Both had great great sets, costumes, picture etc. But both fall flat on their story. Both had the makings of being great films, but don't!

I guess as with the "American Revolution",we'll just never get a good war movie based on the "Hundred Years War" or the "Crusades"!!

Don't Mess With The Zohan - Adam Sandler is an ex Mossad agent with superhuman powers who likes to style hair and fuck old ladies. Through a series of madcap adventures he comes to America and learns Jews and Arabs can live side by side in New York City as cab drivers and crooked electronics salesmen.

We eventually come to learn that Jews and Arabs would get along just fine if it wasn't for rednecks and rich white men like Michael Buffer always trying to spark the hate between them at Hacky Sack tournaments.

A few funny moments, most of which I'd already seen in the trailers. Half the movie was spent with Zohan unfunnily fucking and sexually harassing old ladies in hair salons until his penis decides he's really in love with a hot Palestinian chick.

I should have went to see "The Happening" instead.

The Incredible Hulk: Just saw it. As good as Ironman was, this is JUST as good, if not better! Definitely worth seeing, and the ending sets up nicely what could be a HOT ass "vs" sequel! 8.5/10

In order to be shot you need good consistency. This is something Shamaylan has never been.

I like all of M. Night's movies though. Even the ones everybody else hates.

No matter, I get out to the movies maybe once every couple of months so The Happening is out for now.

I wasted my Fathers Day movie on "The Zohan" which bums me out a bit but there wasn't really anything I was really itchin' to see that was playing last weekend.

I like his movies as well. Perhaps because I like his method of storytelling and don't much care for the big "reveal" at the end.

Invincible - The Mark Wahlberg football flick. It's basically "Rudy" set in Philadelphia. Predictable as hell but still pretty entertaining. A nice simple addition to the genre of the underdog sports movie.

I have a crush on Elizabeth Banks.

The wife and daughter. I gave them a choice, Zohan or The Happening.

I should have put my foot down  but like I said I wasn't really psyched to see anything and wasn't in the mood for a superhero movie.

Yeah, he's really an intensely subtle storyteller. The antithesis of the big Hollywood blockbusters that everybody complains about but have no problem shelling out money to go and see all the time.

I think Shamalyan's only true great work was Unbreakable.

Sixth Sense is a good movie, but a little overrated.

Signs was decent, but nothing special.

The Village started off good, then sucked at the end!

The Happening & Lady In The Water fuckin sucked!

Watched 'Control' - the biopic about Joy Division and, more specifically, Ian Curtis. A great film, but it is VERY dark and depressing.

Also watched 'Superbad' again - still very fucking funny.

On another note - just started rewatching 'The Shield' season 5 - Forrest Whittaker delivers his best acting performance here.

Next up is the movie 'Mongol' - the life story of Genghis Khan.

SIDENOTE: anyone else seen 'The Mighty Boosh'? BBC oddball comedy series. Just got into it, along with Flight of the Conchordes, and they're both great.

<!-- / message --><!-- sig --> Now I know theres already a movie thread, but I thought this deserved its own. Ive seen alot of good movies in the past year, but I think this is the best. I wont give too many spoilers away, but its about two hit men sent to Bruges until the heat on them dies down in England. These two are characters are polar opposites and at different crossroads in their lives. The movie had me laughing out aloud a times, yet is very suspenseful. I recommend everyone to check it out if they havent already.

I like the ending, the moral of the story is to Make Sure A Midget Isnt The Same As A Kid.

The Hulk - unbelievable how improved this movie is - IMO a very impressive super hero movie and you gotta love the Tony Stark cameo at the end. That character is hilarious.
