Pretty much. Manny is chasing the big fights like he has ALWAYS done his entire career.

Do you think Manny would duck Cotto like Floyd did by retiring if they were in the same division? Think of it like that. :hammert:

Pac's been stopped sure, but then he's also moved up multiple weight classes and hasn't come close to being stopped since by much better, harder hitting fighters.

    Exactly.

Marquez is close to fighting Casamayor.

Pacquiao's fighting a guy that barely beat Morales.

No matter how old Casamayor is, and he is past his best, he's still a better lightweight than Diaz.

There is no way that Pac can beat Hatton at 140. No way on earth.

If Manny himself doesn't know this fact, I'd be very surprised. Manny has grown more and more disinterested in the pain game over the last couple of years. If this goes ahead, you can bet your ass it'll be his last fight.

Holding multiple victories over the best featherweights of his have sealed his legacy.

As for Fagquez getting a THIRD fight, hey, remember when Fagquez RAN for 4 years and 750,000 big ones and pacquiao moved onto bigger and better things becoming a superstar in the process? :atu:

Too bad, so sad for QueerQuez.

Casamayor is old, and almost got stopped by overrated Katsidis. Still, Marquez won't get that fight either like he didn't get the Campbell fight. No one will pay for it. Marquez can only make money fighting Pacquiao.

You're seriously ignorant if you think this is a gimme fight for Pacman.

Pacquiao started his career as a flyweight, and I think 135 is going to be a weight too far. He'll struggle with so so fighters at lightweight, purely because I think 130 was his limit.

Diaz is not a great fighter, but he is not a bum either, he is a solid, decent lightweight at worst. He'd hardly a can.

And although he is a stumpy little bastard, he is a natural lightweight.

Pacman's going to win a hard fought decision over Diaz.

Also Morales beat Diaz by being rangey, skillful, crafty, his style worked well for him over the ugly, stumpy little diaz.

But Pacman is not that kind of fighter.

Plus like i've said many times, Pacman just doesn't have that desire and passion to fight anymore, he is not the killer he once was.

There are plenty big fights at 135 for Pac to go get. They are all more meaningful fights against better fighters then against a washed up holding bum.

The guy turned down the payday of a lifetime against De La Hoya :dunno:
Who does that? What is to be believed if he wants no part of DLH or the biggest payday of his career?

And for the record, you hold the crown of "saying stupid shit" I doubt anyone at fightbeat could surpass u in that.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to say Ricky is a "washed up holding bum" lol..

I just think Floyd dominated him.. I think Hatton is still in his prime really.. I think Pac really has no shot in hell here..

but I"ll tell you .. if Pac really does think he could whup Hatton.. which I'm betting he does think..

It makes me like him more than I did already.. I mean you gotta love that.. :bears:

If Pac did it.. I'd give him MAD credit!! I mean if he goes in and stops Ricky.. THAT will be impressive..

I can not really even see this fight happening.. it's one of those that I just dont think will come off..

only when speaking of Manny's resume of course.

Just the other day you mentioned JMM on the CRAP fighters who would become champs or contenders.

you got your ass handed over to you on that thread as well

If is the key word. Guys don't usually go up in weight and carry their power. Manny's power gets less and less when he moves up. Speed won't mean anything if their isn't some pop behind it. Manny isn't gonna outbox Hatton is he? Hatton is so much stronger to and his style can tire you out.
