    No.

Pavlik has insane extension on his shots, punches don't come much straighter. Kessler has pretty straight shots, but nothing out of the ordinary, and certainly not the same straightness and extension as Pavlik.

    The man Arben is right.

It's one of those occasions where you don't really need to analyse styles too much, one guy is simply the better fighter.

Pavlik is the overall better fighter than Kessler, and more of a warrior, and would beat Kessler if they fought, simple as that.

    No he doesn't.

Kessler's arsenal consists of his jab and straight right hand. His defense is to move straight backwards without ever moving his head.

Pavlik has a better jab. A better, stronger and straighter right hand. And there's nothing worse than pulling straight back against a long strong puncher like pavlik.

Not to mention the fact that it didn't take much for Kessler to stop throwing his jab against Calzaghe.

Kessler is a teriffic fighter, but Pavlik is just better.

    Wrong.

And being a "warrior" has very little to do with winning boxing matches

Well theres only one way to find out. Kessler wants the fight, I'm sure HBO would want the fight, does Kelly want it?

I'm completely right Ugo. Instead of just writing "wrong" why not argue why I'm wrong?

I'm correct on 2 things, Pavlik punches longer and straighter, and Pavlik is the overall better fighetr.

And like Arben said - Kessler's defense basically involves moving straight back, he doesn't have much subtlety and variety to his defense.

And as I mentioned on another thread, one of the most effective things about pavlik is the sheer length and extension on his shots, people think they're out of range, and they're not.

Also being a warrior is pretty important yes, if both fighters have fought on even terms, both are hurt and tired, it's the one with the bigger warrior instinct that's going to dig that little bit deeper and push that little bit harder to pull it off.

kessler is bigger, more polished and simply better than jermain, who gave pavlik all he could handle.

pavlik would get beaten up from the outside en route to a lopsided decision.

a dumb fight for pavlik to take especially if he can make the same amount of money if not more fighting the winner of abraham vs. miranda II.

If you think Pavlik's right hand is straighter then we simply see something different. I think Pavlik throws straight punches, but I think there's less movement with Kessler's...it goes from point A to B more directly.

I do think Pavlik has a much better left hook and better overall punch variety/angles.

But I think Pavlik's footwork is slow, and Kessler moves around the ring much better.
