He's fighting Kessler on Saturday. I've never seen him fight and don't know much about him other than he's undefeated against a lot of unrecognizable names, doesn't have a whole lot of KO's in his 22 fights and is in the top 5 of the WBA.

Can any European fans talk about him?

Nothing special. Basic fighter with good technique, who sometimes lands harder punches than his record suggests. Has struggled against a few of the guys on his record, been dropped twice. He´ll probably give a brave effort, that will end somewhere between rounds 6 and 8.

Would you consider him a step or two below Steiglitz?

Kessler won via 12th round TKO.

From the updates, it doesn't sound like it Sartison was very competitive.

The Dane is now the new WBA super middleweight champion, and Danilo Hausler is the mandatory.

I read on Eastside that Sartison took a bad beating, and is now being rushed to the hospital. So lets hope he'll be ok.

    His neck isn't being stabilized.

I guess they didn't feel it was necessary to take too many precautions.:dunno:

It's not that, they are just Danish and not very bright. They don't even know what a neck stabiliser is.

Following Wlad's recent form, I was about to launch a thunderous tirade against Kessler for being too conservative, pulling a 'Fraud' playing it safe, and not opening up enough,.. but now seeing as his opponent is being carried out on a stretcher, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

The guys first loss and Kessler sends him to the hospital. Miranda would have been killed by Kess

I know, what a monster that Kessler is! Putting a guy nobody has ever heard of in the hospital.

Kessler avoided Miranda to fight that stiff.

I'm sick of fighters being hyped for nothing. When Kessler does something other than lose to Calzaghe let me know.

I've never seen a guy get so much hype from losing his biggest fight and it wasn't even close!

Honestly, I don't see what Miranda could have offered except another stoppage loss on his record. :dunno:

How about a bigger purse, his fight being shown on US TV and a knock out win over a "name" on his record?

I am not saying Miranda is any good, he's decent at best, but he had a chance to get his name out there and he passed it up to fight some nobody.

Nobody knows what really happened. All I know is the fight didn't happen. Kessler for all his hype, better start doing something soon.

Andrade is like Miranda with a chin. I seriously doubt fighting him would have done anything for him besides maybe more money and a "name". I doubt the money part also, because he just had a PPV in Denmark. WTF has Seminole to offer??

the guy was involved in the division's biggest fight ever and he lost. in his first come back fight, he wisely went for an easy title (only because bumdine pussed out) yet still beat an unbeaten guy.

i dont see bute or any other PROVEN super middleweghts (considering Miranda isn't one of them) calling him out.

With Calzaghe gone, I'm sure Kessler will rule the weak division. It doesn't say much about Kessler though, more so the weakness of the division.

Who is at 168 that is any good?

Sartison came very close to putting Kessler down in the 1st round with counter right over his jab.

Other than that Mikkel handled that fella

I just watched it, he was real close to going down and his legs looked a little rubbery. He recovered well though.

He's a sucker for that right hand counter.

He might beat Tarver if his chin doesn't end up sucking. Dawson would be a tougher task for sure.

You have it backwards. Kessler was the one offered the fight. Everyone agreed to terms, but then when it came to sign contracts, Team Kessler responded with a full list of conditions to be met, including pushing the fight back four weeks and for the fight to not take place "in a casino on an Indian Reservation" (as in, they weren't fighting Miranda at Hard Rock).

Showtime met them halfway - they agreed to moving the date back, but told Palle to go fuck himself and instead proceeded with Abraham-Miranda II.

The way Kessler looked when he got clocked Miranda just might have had a chance.

    Is Kessler's chin any good?

I didn't see his legs being rubbery at all. He almost went down because of balance but he didn't seem hurt. Unless it was replayed on ZVision of course
