    It's not lose-lose if the money's right.

Besides, most fighters that start at 106 don't look like they're on 'roids 30 pounds higher.

diaz is rubbish. valero would urinate on his corpse if they were ever matched up.

whether valero is or isnt very good has no relevance, diaz isn't any good.

This isn't about diaz, it's about valero. He is slow, sloppy, amateurish, and just not very good. I would pick Khan over Valero.

Some of you are going to be pretty surprised if that fight gets made, Pacman would absolutely crush valero, Valero won't even be competitive.

I d rather see them fight different fighters anyway and if there the last one's standing then they should have a third fight.

I hear they are talking Pacquiao-Soto now...

I have no faith in Soto's ability when it comes to southpaws, Pacman will demolish this guy in highlight reel fashion. Early.

Arum says Pac-Valero is all but a done deal.

I have no complaits about Valero in November. All the other top lightweights are tied up with fights in September anyway. Whats that leave Manny? Wholio Diaz? Valero is alot better than Wholio.

Shit this is going to be fun

Pacman is going to massacre valero. Valero is seriously going to look like he doesn't even belong in the same ring as Pacman.

Pacman and Arum know it too, otherwise they wouldn't jeopardise a big fight with hatton.

I have little doubt that Pac will beat Valero. What I have doubt about is Hatton beating Malignaggi.

I wonder what the plans for Pac will be should Malignaggi pull the upset, which is a very real possibility.

It would probably force Manny to have to stay at 135 and HOPEFULLY fight a Campbell, or Guzman.

Hatton's chin is dimished after getting KTFO by Floyd. Paulie has fast enough hands that he could catch Hatton with a right he doesnt see and stun him. Thats not to say I think Paulie can stop him, but he can get his respect. Then you factor in Paulie's jab, and movement, and you're looking at a tough fight for Hatton. My official pick for this fight is Hatton by close decision. But if Paulie pulls it off, I'll hardly be surprised.

Hey X, I would have thought the same thing if not for Paulie's last fight.

Hatton is borderline shot, this is a fact, and you can see it in his fight with lazcano.

But shit, for whatever reason Paulie looked even worse on the same night against Ndou.

Unless paulie can pull something special out, I think even this version of hatton grinds out a clear, ugly decision over paulie.

I know you would, but it won't happen though. Pacman is going to make him look like an amateur, and like he doesn't even belong in the same ring.

Wishful thinking. You hate Pacman and pick almost everyone to beat him.

If Valero improves his game, he will lose. Valero's technique is why he will lose.

Plus, they have a similar style in that they pop in with powershots, but Pacquiao does it with better technique and speed. Valero might have the power, but he would be beaten to the punch over and over again.

It would be a hell of a fight.

Pacquiao losses against the Campbell/Guzman winner and the Casamayor/JMM winner

Pacquiao will likely beat Juan Diaz and Michael Katsidis.

Manny has already beaten Marquez twice, and Casa is too old to beat Manny.

Also, I'm very confident that Manny would stop the amazingly overrated Campbell.

Manny lost twice against JMM, Even last march you saw the difference between Manny facing an elite fighter in JMM and last Saturday facing a complete bum in Diaz.

based on that Manny will beat everyone at 135? :atu:

Let's keep things in perspective. The guy beat the easiest belt holder possible at 135 and it wasn't because it was the only one available. Arum has been planning that fight for the longest.

The way you overrate Manny I'm sure you would have picked him over Corrales and CAstillo.

Pacquiao the best lightweight in the world without proving it. :atu:

Yeah, that about sums it up for me. I love Manny but I don't remember Floyd getting this much love for beating Baldomir, who you could argue was better than Diaz and probably is.

When fans react this way, it gives the team an excuse to avoid the super challenges in the division; cherry-picking their opponents en route to becoming a four-division champ, five-division champ or whatever useless stat they wanna throw at you.

A KO over an average fighter can do miracles for you. It's Pacquiao fever right now. A couple weeks ago, it was Pavlik fever. That's why fighters have those kind of fights.

Fairly obvious why, Floyd won a boring safety first decision, and with a similar level opponents, Pacman gave the fans an entertaining, watchable, brutal beatdown and highlight reel KO.

If Floyd had done that to Baldomir, nobody would be complaining.

Pair that with the fact that half Manny's career was at flyweight, and this was his first fight at lightweight, and it doesn't take a genius to see that it was far more impressive than Floyd's boring points victory over baldomir.

Ironically, both Diaz and Baldomir made their names by beating Zab Judah.

I don't know. I mean, if one-sided beatdowns are your thing, I guess so. Especially for $50. To me, the difference in the way they embarrass chumps isn't enough to garner the amount of props Pac has gotten. Say you like Pac for the way he KO's bums. But don't start telling me about how great he is after he KO's a bum. Apples and oranges.

i'ts also silly how overrated fighters get after a gimme fight.

It's a decent win and that's it. To assume Pacquiao will clean up the 135 division based on beating the easiest champion possible is fucking funny.

I knew it was gonna be an easy fight the moment Arum talked about making that fight.

I also knew Pacquiao would top MOrales' performance as a guy going up to 135 and fighting Diaz. It was a given Pacquiao would beat his ass.

I don't understand why all the fuss about it. Sure he blew him out but he had all the advantages going into the fight. Where does the surprise come in? :dunno:
