The votes are in, and here are your rankings for June 2008. First Place votes are in parenthesis.

    1. Anderson Silva: 53 (9)

    2. Fedor Emelianenko: 34 (1)

    3. Georges St. Pierre: 30

    4. B.J. Penn: 29 (1)

    5. Uriah Faber: 8

    Others receiving votes...
Quentin 'Rampage' Jackson: 5, Randy Couture: 3, Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera: 2, Cung Le: 1.

Only votes that were PM'd to me were counted. Submitting rankings this month were Reed, Buddy Rydell, *Z*, ArturoGatti, JoeKing, Trplsec, Bob N. Weave, AtomicdOG34, Explosivo, Jarhead and myself, TFK.

Votes were counted as 5 points for every 1st place vote, 4 points for every 2nd place vote, 3 points for every 3rd place vote, 2 points for every 4th place vote and 1 point for every 5th place vote.

If possible, I'd like for a Mod to sticky this until the July rankings are posted.

    Nice Ranking...

i would have put GSP before Fedor though and maybe even before Silva. Faber is imo not top 5 and LOL @ Cung Le getting a vote... :atu:

I'm surprised Faber scored higher then Rampage. I figured as good as he's looked, and as popular as he is, he was a lock for Top 5.

I would have Penn and Peirre ahead of Fedor just for the fact that he is inactive.

    Solid List...

REED is Slightly Surprised that Faber Made the Top 5 OVER Rampage, but it's No Big Deal...Faber's Certainly an ELITE Guy & he Fights Often, so it's Cool...

REED is MORE Surprised that B.J. Penn Got one 1st Place Vote, while GSP Got ZERO...

I think the KO loss to Serra may still be fresh in people's minds.

For the record, my rankings were Silva, GSP, Penn, Fedor and Rampage.

Alright, alright. I'll come clean. I had Faber at 2... He's had 5 absolutely dominant wins in 18 months over top competition. With the obvious exception of Silva, I don't know that anyone has owned a weight class quite like Faber has

    REED Can't Blame U...

REED's List was Silva, Fedor, GSP, Penn & Rampage...If we Did a Top 10, Faber would've Been 6th on REED's List...

REED Didn't Want to Get Caught Up N the RECENCY of Faber's Win, so he Awarded the 5th Spot to Rampage as More of a "Lifetime Achievement" Type of Deal...Ditto for Fedor & Despite his Inactivity & Lack of Comp, it Just DIDN'T Seem Right to Leave him OFF of a Lb 4 Lb List...

There's NO Right or Wrong Answers Here...

I am the only one that had Fedor as #1? :dunno:

GSP just lost to Serra. Silva has dominated everyone. It wouldn't take Silva two tries to beat a Matt Serra.

last time i checked he just beat Serra. And of course not since Silva is a middleweight... and more of a striker to lose a striking contest. But GSPs wrestling is imo better.

Who else , not in the Top 5, has dominated a weight class so clearly over the last couple years?

The only guy I considered was Rampage, but he's had one fight in the last year. Hell, if not for Fedor's amazing history, he probably doesn't belong on this list based solely on actual recent bouts.

But it's all subjective so have fun..

Fabers easily the most overrated fighter in MMA.IMO he is not the best in that weight class until he beats Kid Yamamoto

Wow. I have to disagree. Faber may not actually be Top 5 P4P material, but he also isn't the most overrated fighter in MMA.

The guy is a buzzsaw. He walks right through people.

Well, again, it's all subjective and I do agree with you that a fight with Yamamoto would be great. I'd pick Faber in a WEC cage.

In the meantime, we will get to see Yamamoto get tested versus a Faber training partner in Joseph Benavidez in a few weeks. Benavidez can fight so don't expect a mismatch.

145 is a pretty weak weight class. Being #1 there don't make you PFP anything. I like BTG's #5 with Big Nog.

So that should make Silva PVP nothing as well then....right?? I think you may be a little too simplistic here.

His wins over Henderson and Franklin are better than anything Faber has ever done. Ranking Faber over Big Nog is actually pretty criminal.

Henderson yes, but not Franklin. Franklin was really overrated. And Big Nog has been looking like shit lately.

Big Nog finds ways to win though and has only lost to Fedor and Barnett. His resume SERIOUSLY shits all over Faber's.

Whether you think Franklin is overrated or not he's better than anyone Faber has beaten.
